Guest guest
And, this may be a 'duh/blonde' question but is Oregano Oil the same thing as Oil of Oregano? I have a product from NOW this is 100% pure oregano oil and I've hesitated to use it because I've long wondered if it's the same as oil of oregano. I just never got around to researching it and when I saw 's question below I had to jump in. BTW, I went through another such 'struggle' a couple of weeks ago concerning Silica and Silicea; wondering if there is a different and if so what. I've learned essentially they are the pretty much the same thing. Guest guest
, let's 'talk' about each of these products and then you can answer the question for yourself. Let me state first that if you are going to use one of these products, make sure you buy from a reliable supplier to avoid getting a cheap imitation. For oil of oregano, I would recommend North American Herb and Spice. You can buy it as a liquid or in capsules. At times, we've used them together. Their products are available at discount all over the net. For olive leaf extract, I prefer Seagate Products. Oil of oregano is a potent antiseptic - meaning it kills germs. It has been proven highly effective for killing a wide range of fungi, yeast, bacteria, parasites and viruses. It may be used topically and internally - ONLY if it is guaranteed oregano oil. We, as well as our married children, keep oil of oregano on hand year round. For bacterial or viral infections, we take it sublingually - three drops under the tongue 3-4 times a day, and often add the capsules. When the grandchildren were small and had ear infections either oil or oregano or garlic and mullein oil was rubbed into the ear several times a day - effective and much safer than antibiotics.. BTW,.oil of oregano is a very potent anti-inflammatory. Dr. Ingram recommends rubbing the oil of oregano on affected joints in the morning and again before bedtime until problem is resolved, and taking three capsules of Oregamax (North American Herb & Spice) twice daily. In Dr. Cass Ingram's book " The Cure is in the Cupboard " instructions are given for using it in a wide range of ailments - allergies, arthritis, asthma, athlete's foot, bites, bronchitis, candidiases, colds, colitis, flu, gastritis, gum disease, ringworm, sinusitis to name a few. Back in 1999, the mother of a young woman told me about her daughter who took sick and was hospitalized. I don't remember all the details but for 6 weeks doctors tried one antibiotic after the other but there was no response. Finally, the mother convinced the daughter to leave the hospital and try oil of oregano. It took several months of use but it did return the daughter to wellness. As for olive leaf extract, this is another product we keep on hand. We've mentioned it any number of times in the past as one of the supplements for treating leaky gut. The other two being slippery elm and l. glutamine. It's an anti-microbial with many of the same uses as oil of oregano. Several years ago the Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients published an article about a patient being treated for rheumatoid arthritis with olive leaf extract. Since most immune function takes place in the gut, if I had active rheumatic disease today, in addition to diet and detoxing (sometimes needed over and over again), I'd make sure olive leaf, slippery elm and l. glutamine where among the supplements I took daily. You can use oil of oregano and olive leaf extract together. There are many safe, effective therapies available today for a wide range of medical problems. About six months ago I learned of a chemical that had put 75,000 cases of malaria in Africa in remission in very short order. The chemical kills off anaerobic pathogens in the body. (It's used by water companies for purification.) As it kills off these organisms you can experience a period of nausea and/or diarrhea. It has been reported effective in all sorts of medical problems - including cancer, AIDS, etc. A 75 year old man wrote me saying a heart condition he had for over 30 years had cleared up taking this chemical, and another man said it cured him of blocked sinuses - a problem he had suffered with for years. Then I learned one of the leading alternative doctors in the country was using it to treat Lyme Disease over an 18 month period. As these anaerobic organisms are being killed off, people are reporting a significant increase in energy levels. There appears to be no downside to taking this chemical. It's very inexpensive and available in Canada and Australia now as well as in the U.S. If this chemical is working to treat Lyme Disease, I would think it would be effective for rheumatic diseases as well. Guest guest
Hi Ethel, Are you talking about MMS for Lymes? I'm thinking of trying it but wanted to try a course of the Shardt protocol first. I'm about twenty days into taking Diflucan and I have a script for a penicillin type antibiotic so I may continue with it for the next few months. I am very interested in the MMS (Miracle Mineral Supplement) which I learned about from another source. Guest guest
Ethel, I have been taking something called Zyflamend ( by NewChapter) and it seems to help with the RA. It contains: Rosemary, Turmeric, Ginger, Holy Basil, Green Tea, Hu Zhang, Chinese Galdthreat, Barberry, Oregano and Baikal Skullcap. When I went to my first appointment with my doctor for my new treatment with AP, she made the statement that I had done my homework and this is a good herbal supplement that she would recommend. I take one capsule daily with dinner. I have been taking it for about two months now and can tell the difference. I have been on Biaxin for six weeks and I am feeling so much better. I was so week that my husband told me we probably would have to get a wheelchair soon. Take care Stay well.
