Guest guest
YES! This was one of my big symptoms when my adrenals crashed. I also got a lot of allergies and became allergic to metals as I think there is a toxicity link but the smell thing still drives me crazy. I can smell molds, foul odors, bad food, chemicals, toxins in the air, etc. Stuff I never smelled before and no one else can and they think I am crazy. The mold thing has made me avoid so many people's homes and businesses. Amazing how many places are affected. It is just the foul smells too. Good smells are the same. Interesting though, before this happened I kind of lost my sense of smell and taste for awhile then it got hyper sensitive. Cheri increased sense of smell? This is wierd, but my sense of smell seems to be getting more and more sensitive. I am smelling things (most of which are not good!) that no one else can smell. It is starting to drive me a little bit crazy. Anyone else experience this or is it totally unrelated? English
Guest guest
me too. people with obnoxious colognes really irritate the hell out of me, and moldy smells or wet dishrags, ugh. And apparently what I think stinks varies wildly from what most people think stinks. 8) > YES! This was one of my big symptoms when my adrenals crashed. Guest guest
Whoops sent too soon. These symptoms can also be a symptom of candida. Linn
Guest guest
Well, not in my case. I have had systemic Candida since age 10 at least but this smell issue only started in my mid 30s. Guest guest
All of my senses have sharpened over the past few years - at least to things that feel unpleasant. I can smell things, unpleasant things, that I would never have smelled years ago. And I'm not pregnant > > This is wierd, but my sense of smell seems to be getting more and more > sensitive. Guest guest
Me too! I have changed all the products I use to natural, unscented or citrus smelling because fake fragrances just drive me crazy now. I can smell everything. I drive my family crazy too. I felt bad because I received a Christmas present of soap, lotion and scrub that I probably won't use because I can't stand the smell. I do remember the pregnancy smelling thing too but I think this is worse. Joann > > This is wierd, but my sense of smell seems to be getting more and more > > sensitive. Guest guest
I can't stand colognes or perfumes anymore either. Or the smell of chemical cleaners or fumes. Guest guest
LOL!! No, don't have a uterus! Guest guest
Thank goodness, that isn't it. I have already dealt with and beat candida. It was actually one of the only things I did not test positive for in my allergy tests! A lot has happened in 20 years. When I had it, it was just like AF, doctors wouldn't even talk to you about it. Now it is so mainstream that allergists test for it. Guest guest
So when I walk into a store (like KB Toys- yuck!!) it is the chemicals in the products that I am smelling? I have to leave some stores because the smell is so bad to me and other people don't smell it at all. English > > This is called Chemical Sensitivity and goes wiht low cortiosl. Guest guest
: You mentioned you had candida years ago and beat it. I know mine will improve if I am ever able to start thyroid, but in the meantime the symptoms are making the AF much worse. Do you remember specific things that helped? Guest guest
Pat, I'm not , but also had intestinal candida overgrowth badly at one time. Most important thing you can do is very strict low carb, like Atkins induction, then stay strict low carb. No fruit, no grains, no breads, certainly no sugars. What I learned of utmost importance is you cannot get rid of candida while feeding it. Second, Caprylic Acid, virgin coconut oil. If that isn't enough a good antifungal Rx. Then a good probiotic with bifidobacterium species--these are the natural normal human gut bacteria. sol pat wrote: > : > > You mentioned you had candida years ago and beat it.
