I had the best time yesterday

Kayly's kids are in 2nd and 4th grades in a charter school for the gifted that is in the building I (and parents, grands and gr-grands) went to school in. Yesterday the kindergarten teacher had me come in to talk about the history of the town, and the building , and what things were like when I was a kid. At the level they'd understand, of course. I dug out alot of old pics and showed them how the building and town had changed and I was supposed to be there for 15-30 minutes, but it was a little over an hour--the teacher kept asking questions, and then they walked me all over the school to see how it had changed. Which was quite a bit (haven't been there since 1964, LOL) except that the linoleum on the first floor was the SAME, LOL.

Anyway, it was great fun. I'm on a list Kayly made for them that tells the names of different people willing to come in and talk on different subjects. I'm hoping I get to go in again for different things, 'cause I really enjoyed it, it made a break from my usual day.
