Guest guest
I am not an expert here, but it is my best advice for you to have saliva tests done before touching Isocort to ensure you really do need help with cortisol replacement. > > Hello, > I have been learning SO much in this last week! > > I was diagnosed hypo and started on synthroid 5 mos ago. > 2 mos ago my tsh tested 'normal' and I am now considered adequately > treated. Guest guest
I would strongly recommend getting saliva labs before starting ANY cortuils supoplement. HIgh cortils is early adrenal fatigue and it can feel the SAME as low cortiosl. www.canaryclub.org -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Don't start the Isocort until you do the salavia test. It will skew the results and make them worthless! cheire Experience: that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God do you learn.--C.S. > Starting Isocort > > > Hello, > I have been learning SO much in this last week! > > I was diagnosed hypo and started on synthroid 5 mos ago. > 2 mos ago my tsh tested 'normal' and I am now considered adequately > treated. Guest guest
Thanks very much for the replies. Do you know the least expensive place to order the test?

Guest guest
I see that includes the thyroid tests as well - can you really test thyroid levels w/ saliva? > > www.canaryclub.org > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
Guest guest
Actually, saliva labs are great for thyroid. Saliva results show what is IN OUR CELLS. Just because what we have in our blood does not mean it circulates into tissues/cells where we utilize it. I had all within normal blood test ranges for thyroid my whole life but my saliva levels showed I was low -- very low. I suffered with every symptom in the book except high cholesterol, slow reflexes and high bp. > > > > www.canaryclub.org > > > > -- > > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > > >
Guest guest
Wow. That's really great to know. Thank you. So, if my saliva tests do show low cortisol is it okay to start isocort while I'm waiting to find md who will prescribe armour to switch me off the synthroid? Thanks again! > > > > > > www.canaryclub.org > > > > > > -- > > > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > > > > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > > > > > >
Guest guest
>>I see that includes the thyroid tests as well - can you really test thyroid levels w/ saliva?<< Yes. WHat it shows will not likely be the same as a blood test though as the hormones it is showing is what is getting ot th tissues and thus the saliva. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
