Guest guest
Val it's evan dunno if you remember me and my story etc. Anyway, i took my adrenal saliva test and got the results back finally. The one problem is though i got some strange results because i took a nap i think the morning to afternoon that i took the test otherwise if you could shed any light on it I would appreciate it. reference ranges DHEA: 18.1 (high normal range) (7-23) Morning Saliva: 2.0 (very low) (3.7-9.5) Afternoon Saliva: 7.6 (high) (1.2-3) Evening Saliva: 3.0 (high) (0.6-1.9) nightime saliva: 0.9 (high normal)(0.4-1) I'm kinda upset at myself for not doing the test right but I guess I will have to just get another one done i just hope it doesnt take as long as it did this time to get the results etc. > > Can you post the ranges with these? > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >

Do you usually sleep late and get up around 11AM or later? If you do then your labs make [perfect sense. If not there is a problem. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Well yes basically my sleep pattern is very very messed up, but I find myself with terrible insomnia at night where I can't get to sleep on my own till anywhere between 4-8 AM. If i were to drug myself to sleep like I do with supplements on occasion I wake up very groggery and feeling horrible. If this makes sense as it pertains to my labs please let me know. All I know is this insomnia is killing me and not allowing me to live a normal life along with the whole adrenal issue. > > DHEA: 18.1 (high normal range) (7-23) > Morning Saliva: 2.0 (very low) (3.7-9.5) > Afternoon Saliva: 7.6 (high) (1.2-3) > Evening Saliva: 3.0 (high) (0.6-1.9) > nightime saliva: 0.9 (high normal)(0.4-1) > > What matters most in interpreting thee is when you NORMALLY sleep, not even just that day but your nbormal times ot sleep and wake. Guest guest
Morning Saliva: 2.0 (very low) (3.7-9.5) > Afternoon Saliva: 7.6 (high) (1.2-3) > Evening Saliva: 3.0 (high) (0.6-1.9) > nightime saliva: 0.9 (high normal)(0.4-1) OK if you mov4e these results to the times of day you wake being the 8AM ranges they make perfect sense. Your cortiosl rythm is totally changed for that time of day. I think taking a LARGE AM dose pattern of HC will correct this. but you are going ot have to work at it. Set alarm for 7AM and take HC dose. TRY to stay up. By wokring up the HC dose following the below schedule and keeping it heavy on the AM dosing, this shoudl correct the high night time levels later in the day. but you will need to stop watching TV or computer by 7-8PM to allow the hormones that keep you awake to dissipate as they should to prepare your body for sleep. So that would be my recommendation. I would start wiht a 5MG HC dose at 7AM, thne in 5 days addin 2.5mg at 11AM, then raise the AM dose to 7.5mg and hold for 2 weeks to see if you are abke to sleep better at normal night time hours. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
