Guest guest
I understand that several have mentioned that when you reintroduce a food while trying the elimination diet to try the new item for *2 days*. I have been on a restricted diet for 5 years and I react to what I shouldn't eat sometimes 3 to 5 days later - only having it one time. So I would recommend waiting longer than 2 days if you haven't reacted yet- maybe even a week. My first reintroduction to wheat was after 6 months of having NO starch, and it was 3 days before I was miserable. I went 3 months before trying wheat and again 3 days later I was miserable. This has been tested several times. Beans make my arms very weak, while wheat, corn and potatoes give me overall inflammation. Guest guest
Here I can buy a lot of tomato sauce that is made by the farmers themselves. Usually there may be olive oil, but no sugar or preservative. I usually buy organic at the grocery store and read ingredients. I will doublecheck though. Kinga rheumatic Re: My diet regime Instead of trying to figure every little thing out why don't you just leave everything out that is recommended you shouldn't be eating for 2 or 3 wks (at least 10 days anyway) then you can reintroduce things one at a time, you will figure it out if you do it like that .. but remember if you don't react to something take whatever it is back out & try the next thing. As for your tomato sauce, over here all store bought sauces have sugar & preservatives in them & my AP Dr is adamant that p eople with our diseases have to watch out for hidden gluten, sugar & especially preservatives .. so I can't have store bought tomato sauce. It's all very individual, but with trial & error you may find the result is that you can eat store bought tomato sauce, but I can't. Nothing about this is hard & fast, it is simply a recommendation of things that may/probably contribute to us feeling unwell & certainly can contribute to inflammation.
