Guest guest
Hello; New to the group. Was on AP for a few years, Doxy, for Sjogren/lupus. Have been under care of naturo-pathic physician and stopped AP. Using naturo-pathic remedies (ex: rhodiola for adrenal exhaustion) and diet control. Have had to be on prednisone for flares, but weaned off of that now. Under much stress; left domestic violence situation but still have issues to deal with in that regard. Had a bladder infection one month ago, and again last Thursday. On MD visit, she told me that the culture on last infection didn't grow out much of anything, although it responded to Bactrim. She is thinking a cystitis and is referring me to urologist. Did some internet searching as I suspect Sjogren/lupus might be in this, and it appears that it could be, one site says that methotrexate is used in this. I have resisted the use of MTX from the start in my therapy, and wonder about returning to AP for this? Anyone had any challenges with interstitial cystitis, autoimmune-related, and any help from AP with this? Can anyone recommend an AP doc in the Seattle area for me? Thanks... Guest guest
Sounds to me like you have a bad yeast infection and not cystitis. With all the prednisone, antibiotics and stress you are a perfect candidate D for yeast. If you can...see if your doc will order at least a week of Diflucan and use monostat the first day only. If you keep using monostat you will never get rid of the yeast because it will be moist down there all the time. ALSO very important find a good probiotic and double the dose for the first week then take it as written on the label. With all the stress you should take the probiotics daily to keep yourself free of yeast. Do not use pads with plastic liners, do not use panty hose, no stretch leggins, cut out sugar for a while. This should work...so good luck!! cooky -------------- Original message -------------- From: " yitro_53 " <yitro_53@...> Hello; New to the group. Was on AP for a few years, Doxy, for Sjogren/lupus. Guest guest
> > Hello Bee, > I have suffered quite badly over the years with cystitis and have always taken an antibiotic sachet from the chemist as a remedy. Since I cut out sugar and yeast from my diet in January I have not had it once. > I am almost fully on your programme now, up to 6 tablespoons of CO, the occasional cheat, and almost sorted with the supplements... yet today I have woken up with Cystitis! I am wondering if I could be retracing this so quickly or if it is just another bout of Cystitis? +++Hi . Yes, you could be retracing your cystitis. > Also, if anyone has a good natural remedy, please could they let me know as I am really struggling not to give in and go and get one of those darn sachets! +++Drink fresh parsley tea according to these instructions: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/recipe314.php All the best, Bee
Guest guest
> > Thank you Bee for this and your replies to my other questions, much appreciated! I started the parsley tea straight away last night (luckily I had some in) and am hoping it will help soon, I'd forgotten how unbearable cystitis is!! If I have to retrace each and every episode, I have a lot to go through, not something I am looking forward to :-( > > > Also, if anyone has a good natural remedy, please could they let me know as I am really struggling not to give in and go and get one of those darn sachets! > > +++Drink fresh parsley tea according to these instructions: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/recipe314.php > > All the best, Bee >
