Guest guest
Val, Got my daughter's latest saliva test results. These are after a year on a GFCF diet. TSH - 37 Range 20-120 FT4 0.37 Range 0.17-0.42 FT3 0.45 Range 0.21-1.10 TPO - Negative Will have serum test done soon. Any kind of variances that typically show up? Her T4 is fine (would not like ot see it any higher and may indicate high RT3)but her T3 is still too low. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Her adrenal labs did come back a little out of whack, the morning was a little low and the noon one a little high, but both other times were normal, but the overall number was good. She was on no thyroid meds for these labs. Guest guest
OK if on no thyroid meds I would suggest some T3. That may be all she needs at this point., Has she had blood antibodies tested? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
She has had several prior blood antibodies done and is due now to have another. I'm curious as to how the serum corresponds to the saliva. Her serum antibody counts were the highest of anyone I have ever heard about. Her endo even termed the count astronomical and said he hadn't seen any that high. The highest TPO was over 5000. Linn > > OK if on no thyroid meds I would suggest some T3. Guest guest
Then I would get her on THYROID immediately. The antibodies are busily working on destroying her thyroid so it is only a matter of time before it shows on labs. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
She's been on thyroid meds before (Armour) and quickly went hyper and caused her thyroid to swell. What I found interesting was the saliva test now after major diet changes show negative antibodies. The serum antibodies have been steadily decreasing over the past year and a half. I'll be interested to see what the antibody count is for the serum in comparison. Linn > > Then I would get her on THYROID immediately. Guest guest
Forgot to add that her thyroid labs have all improved and come into normal ranges with no meds since the hyper incident, only the major diet changes. I was expecting bad labs this time and figured she'd have to go back on meds. Linn > > She's been on thyroid meds before (Armour) and quickly went hyper and caused her thyroid > to swell. Guest guest
Well I would not call her T3 normal. It is too low, but possibly the T4 in the Armour was too much for her as thta level looks fine. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Yep, that's exactly what happened on the Armour, both the FT3 and FT4 went over the limit. She's 9 1/2 years old also and starting to have some hormones kicking in, so wasn't sure how that would affect thyroid, I know it will definitely have an effect on the T1 status. We've been warned to expect chaos with that. Linn > > Well I would not call her T3 normal. It is too low, but possibly the T4 > in the Armour was too much for her as thta level looks fine.
