Guest guest
Kathleen, I am concerned by what you say: << and I have developed those itchy blisters on the right side of my head, and on top of, and behind my right ear. >> If the blisters are red it could be shingles. Shingles will also cause its own pain -- it makes the affected areas feel like they have been beaten with a club - a deep painful bruise. The pain is intense and deep. (I had shingles on my face and know how it feels.) Most docs are VERY concerned about any " rash " that develops with RP. Many will want you to see a dermatologist for biopsy of the rash at once it it cannot be identified otherwise. If your doc won't see you, maybe you should try to see a dermatologist on your own. With shingles it is very important that you get an anti-viral med within five days of the rash appearing or you may have continued problems with recurring pain for years afterward. H.
