I htink if oyu taper VERY slowly it may be fine but alot depends on how

high a dsoe they start oyu on and how bad your adrneals are. If they are

really bad already it can shut them down.

Hi Jada,

If we are talking about the same thing, I was put on it

A couple years ago. It was a tapering pack.

For a couple weeks for an infection. It helped a lot. It

Was for an infection on my face not for adrenals.

Just bumping this up again, I have not gotten any reply regarding the

Prednisolone. Maybe no one has used it. I hear conflicting things, so

I don't wish to make my problems worse.

That is probably the same thing. They gave it to me for bronchitis

that won't go away. So they prescribe it for anything that won't go

away...infections, etc. Mainly as we all know here, because our

adrenals don't work...the docs don't know that though, they just know

that cortisone stimulates the body to get rid of infection..

Thanks for the feedback..I guess I will have to give it a go...

Hi Jada,

I was on Deltacortril which is coated prednisolone for about 7 weeks.

Then I'd been on a mix of HC & delta since the week before Xmas and

then straight HC cream. Reason for this is my stomach was giving me

problems but I don't know if it was the HC tabs that started it or

the delta or neither and just a coincidence. A week of antiiotic and

anti spasm meds cleared up the tummy thank goodness. I would like to

go back to delta because I slept fairly normally on it and didn't

have to think about dosing all the time. Like you I need more info

on it and it would be great if somebody could post their experience.

Best Wishes,

Sara

Hi Val and all

About 10 years ago doc had given me shots of cortisol. It could be prednisolone

or something similar. I am not sure at this moment. This was given to me for

some pain at legs. Doc told me to use it for three months but when I saw that it

helped me with my exhaustion(I did not know that my exhaustion was related to

CFS and/or adrenal fatigue at that time),I continued using it for 8 or 9 months

in the form of monthly shots. I was not aware that it contained steroid. Thank

finally another doctor warned me against it and I stopped it. My exhaustion

increased after I stopped it and went worse. Would you think taking this shots

for 8 or 9 months has suppressed my adrenals?Could this amount cause secondary

adrenal insufficiency?
