Guest guest
Thank you for the great update on your new journey and for providing us with the details on what dosages. I am just now beginning to research AP, LDN and minocin and talk with my RA doctor about it. Nothing I have tried thus far has worked. I am excited to hear your details further. Guest guest
Dr. Whitman, my long time rheumy told me that a positive RF and a positive CCP indicates rheumatoid arthritis definitely...and and as for the eosinophils...when mine our high, my Internist has told me it is because of my seasonal allergies...she said it rises in response to allergy... rheumatic Starting AP - Finally Hi All: I just had my second visit w/the rheumy and got my minocin perscription 100mg. He said to take one a day but I see most people take this MWF two a day - any thoughts how I should proceed for the best results? He is a traditional rheumy but willing to let me try this process but not believing it will work. Also, got my labs back and although I try to read and reread things, i'm always in a fog so will put some things out there and get anyones thoughts. If anyone thinks i should make changes or add things, I'm truly open to hearing all suggestions. They said NO again on Lyme, I was sure I probably had this disease. Hubby and dogs had it and we live on a wildlife refuge and typically before now I have been covered in summer from ticks. I've stopped spending any time out there in the summer I'll try to write down what is out of range and sorry I'm so bad at these things From CBC out of range Absolute Eosinophils 698H ANA Screen, IFA it just shows Positive under out of range C-Reactive Protein 12H Rheumatoid Factor 170H Anti-Nuclear AB Titer 1:160 ANA Pattern Speckled/Homogeneous M. Any thoughts/suggestions/comments are welcome and appreciated. Here is the beginning of my journey, I just want to be better again. Thanks for all of you here!! Guest guest
Hi Lindsey; If you are suspecious of Lyme ,do not rely on any tests done by labs other than Igenex www.igenex.com Most labs do not do it properly.I just found out this winter that I have it and after 11 years on AP.My SD has been in remission for years but I could never stop the antibiotics for more than a few weeks without it roaring back.I never suspected Lyme was the cause and I have wasted a decade because of that. Guest guest
Hi Lynne, No, I don't have Lyme. I dont know how I could get that and have never checked? None of my Doctors seem to be able to definitively figure out exactly what I have. They all say I am an " unusual case. " It started with pain severe pain in my feet that drove me to several podiatrists. One of which was very well trained in Miami who said... " This is much bigger than your feet. I am calling a Vascular surgeon. You have to be seen today! " When i arrived that afternoon. The vascular doctor said I had NO pulses in my feet at all, rushed me too the emergency room and put a stent in my lower aorta which was being strangled by plack that weekend. I lost my middle toe due to the lack of blood and oxygen and a piece of plack that was logged at the tip. I have never been heavy but was a heavy smoker for 20 years with a poor diet. Apparently my body produces plack that was strangling my lower aorta. Little if any blood was getting to get to the lower part of my body. I also learned when blood levels came back that I have auto immune that manifests with RA. I was and still am in pain all the time. My RA doctor isn't sure if I have Berger's or Raynard's. I have tried many kinds of RA medications from the cheapest to the most expensive drips. Nothing really helps. I have numbness and burning in my legs and feet all the time and joint pain all over. SO here I am. My girlfriend takes LDN for auto immune. She also has discovered this AP therapy. I am most interested to learn more!! Thank you again for the reply and sharing your story. I am trying to locate an alternative doctor now. Ive discovered several but of course not in my health insurance plan.
