Guest guest
Hi , It's great that you are so motivated and pro-active, but remember that results may not be linear. I got sicker after I started AP, and after 4 months started improving ever so slightly. Some people take longer to turn the corner. Some peoples' labs get better first, before they feel better, others feel better before the labs reflect improvement. There is also the " two step forward -one step back " dance that often happens on this treatment path. After a while the flares become less severe and appear less frequent, but it always feels like such a setback, unless we remember that is part of the process. AP is not a quick fix, but it has helped many sufferers of rheumatic illnesses. Take care, Ute At 03:06 AM 2/23/2008, you wrote: >Well, Mr Perfect has just completed his first week of antibiotic, and >I thought I would chart his test results on a spreadsheet to make it >easy to follow his progress. Guest guest
Hi Ute, Who was the originator of that sayomg, " One step forward and two step backward dance? " I'm curious. Guest guest
Hi Dolores, I learned it on this list in 1998 :-), though it probably wasn't referred to as a dance. take care, Ute At 11:02 PM 2/23/2008, you wrote: >Hi Ute, Who was the originator of that sayomg, " One step forward and two >step backward dance? Guest guest
Thanks Ute. I want to use it in my book, but wanted to give credit to the one who coined it. If you come across the person, could you please let me know. I first heard it from Lynne and she doesn't remember where she heard it from. It's a very apopro description of the disease. Whoever coined it, please come forward if you read this. I will give you the credit int the book. Thank you, Dolores Ute <nowyoga@...> wrote: Hi Dolores, I learned it on this list in 1998 :-), though it probably wasn't referred to as a dance. take care, Ute At 11:02 PM 2/23/2008, you wrote: >Hi Ute, Who was the originator of that sayomg, " One step forward and two >step backward dance? Guest guest
Hello Barbara- Thank you so much for your assistance! I noticed the " triple c's " in your SLP credentials..... I am so happy that a Speech Professional will be assisting with this. If you read my previous post, which was a reply to " anyone not seeing surges with NV " , you will see how I was becoming worried about details in regard to the development of a Spreadsheet. I was feeling that it would be difficult to create one that would encompass varied age groups with varied levels of difficulties in regard to Speech. Let me know if I was " thinking too much " ! I can provide medical input if needed.... I am a BSN RN. If we all work together on this.... we can create a dynamite Spreadsheet! I started my Son on NV today. As a baseline, I video taped his responses when I asked him what certain " flash card type " pictures were. I will use the same pictures when I reassess the quality of his responses each week. I hopefully, will have video proof that his speech has improved. My Son tends to drop off the beginning and ending sounds of words. He also has trouble blending consonants. It will be interesting to see what happens! Thanks again-
