Guest guest
Elaine, So sorry to hear about your day. Can you have your ex's wages attached? I know my daughter did because her ex wasn't paying and he owed $11,000 in back child support. The DA finally garnished his wages and they take extra out for back pay. She had to fight, but in the end it was worth it. I know laws are different in different states so I don't know if this would be the same for you. If you need any information, just ask. Pretty crummy about your job!! Cant ever figure out WHY they do things like this. I know I can't do anything to help you right now, but want you to know that I am here for all venting purposes. My family all agreed tonight that all of JULY sucked for us. Thank goodness it's almost over. Found out Friday that my grandaughter has a seizure disorder (she's 3 yrs old) more testing must be done, My daughters pap came back bad, our car broke down, and my ear went into a huge flare today. Tomorrow must be better.!!! You're in my thoughts and know that I'm here if you want to kick someone.lol Love
Guest guest
Hi , Well relaxing is out of the question today! The preliminary court case went okay today and the hearing will be heard on August 28th, the day after our anniversary. Nice that he (the ex) picked that day. Jerk!!! Anyhow I will be getting more child support next month, but I still have to fight for the back support because he doesn't think we deserve it. To top that off I had a meeting today with the president of our Arts Council who I work for and my job has been terminated!! My boss is quitting and they couldn't find anyone to do her job, which is a part time position. So they are taking my hours and work and giving them to the new manager of which they haven't even hired yet. They don't even know who it will be. They have offered me a lowly receptionist job with a weeks less work a month. That's 12 weeks or 3 months less work a year. So after all this I'm no further ahead. TODAY REALLY SUCKS!!!!! I have volunteered for this organization for nine years and have been an employee for three years. I have always done my job exceptionally well and been there to help out when needed. Ever since I took on the job I have been making them money and this is the thanks I get. I have no choice but to accept the receptionist job as I have to support my daughter. My skills will be going to waste. There are very few jobs in this community so I guess I should be thankful that I even have one. It just feels like I've been kicked in the teeth. I would understand it if I was a bad employee, but they have always be pleased with my work. They are not in financial difficulty as they have over $40,000 in reserves. I just don't get it. Why take work from a good employee and give it to someone they don't even know. Any how thanks for letting me rant and rave. And thanks for being there. Hope everyone is feeling a whole lot better than me. Take care all. Guest guest
Hi Elaine: Cath here. Read your post and my heart goes out to you. Seems like often times we are given more than we can handle. One thing I am continually trying to do is give your troubles to God and ask him to take them because they are so overwhelming. I know how frustrating the court situation can be. I am again facing my hopefully exhusband again in court on august 9th. True meaning of good vs. evil. Try not to let him get you too upset as we just flare and I know somehow they get enjoyment from that. My husband is financially destroying me and trying to force a restraining order against him to be dropped. You can't believe the things he says and does, but so far the courts have really not supported me much. I panic alot and it causes flairs but keep trying to hand it to God because it is so much more than I can handle. One thing keep me hanging on is that I refuse to let him completely destroy me. That is his goal and I'm doing all I can to make sure he doesn't get that satisfaction. It is soooooo hard though. I'm sorry to hear about your job. I have also gone through situations where you work very hard and get nothing in return. Knowing deep inside how well you did is what you have to pull on now. Maybe God has a long term plan and you just can't see it right now. Maybe this will lead you to a greater road. It's so hard to understand and I'm sure it doesn't make any sense now, but hang in there. Please let us know how things are going and feel free to vent your frustrations here or if you want e-mail me personally at cath2000@.... I know how hard it gets believe me and I am still struggling daily. Maybe you can find comfort in reading the Psalms scriptures. They bring me such peace when I am distraught. We are here for you and really care. I'm praying for you and that God brings you a means of finding peace. It is hard, but we really are never alone. Hope today is better for you!! Guest guest
In a message dated 07/27/2000 11:21:35 AM Central Daylight Time, Hi Elaine, I'm sorry you are going thru the stress of this, I will keep you in my prayers. Please keep us posted on what happens and take care. Love Lu << Hi Lu It was the head honcho who told me and they said it was a board decision that the thought was best for the organization. They had problems finding someone for my boss' job they couldn't find anyone to work for $1000 a month that's like $700 US. So they took the money they would pay me so they could pay the new person more. They also took away most of my work. I feel so sorry for the new person they hire because they will be doing my boss' job and my job together. Anyhow they'll find that out soon enough. The reason my boss is quitting is because their wasn't enough time allotted for her to do her own job. She was over stressed and under paid. I didn't even have enough time to do my job. What really makes me mad is that no one even said sorry. I will go to see unemployment and I've asked for letters of reference for my boss and the president of the board of directors. I am going to look for more work. ---------- >>
