Guest guest
Yes! 2 years ago I started out with Isocort and built up to 8-10 or 12 per day, then switched to HC. I was at about 25 or so mgs. per day for a long time, but then it seemed to become too much, so I gradually reduced the dosage to 20-22mgs. per day, depending on stress. After a while I went down to 17.5 mgs. per day and was stable on that for quite a while. Then I started forgetting doses and was okay; no shakes, no symptoms. After about a week or so of that, I started weaning down and eliminated the last dose several weeks ago. I have had no problems whatsoever, even during the worst asthma attacks, but yesterday I was wheezing so bad I started to shake, so I stressed dosed with 5 mgs. and was fine. I have been fine today; no shakes, so no HC. It has not been all clear sailing, and I am still on T3 for a while, but I consider it successful in that I don't need the HC except now and then during severe stress. I will stress dose for that, because I don't want to get back to AF and I realize my adrenals are a bit fragile, so I have plenty of HC if I need it. C.
