Can It Take Awhile For A Thyroid Dump To Activate?

I have been supplementing with HC since Oct/07. I went off all

thyroid medication when switching from TR-T3 to T3 and stayed on HC.

I have been taking the same amount of Cynomel--25mg for about a month

while increasing my HC [switched to cream].

I continued to increase my HC b/c my temps are not steady and I would

nap for 4+ hours at a time until I hit 50mg HC.

Now at 50mg HC, I think I am looking at a thyroid dump. My temp

continued to rise when I increased to 50mg....[98.5, 98.8, *98.3*,

98.7, 98.8, *99.2*, 98.7].

My temps do not look steady, but I feel MUCH better-NO NAPS!!!! I

have been holding this dose for 9 days, trying to figure out where

it's going to go.

What do you guys make of this? Is it a thyroid dump? Will I need more

HC so that at some point I can increase my T3? Or is there something

else going on if I need this amount of HC?

Needing that amount of HC I would be asking for adrenal antibody

testing. Or you could also try switching SLOWLY to HC cream to see if

you absorb it better that way. That si an awful dose! But if you are

losing a bunch to digestion it may not be too high for you. Your temps

could indicate a thyroid dump. I would hopld the HC dose for a few days

and se if the highs level out and start to come down, if they do nto, I

would lower the HC and assume the HC is amping up your temps.
