Tammi,

Do you mind telling us what stage you where in when you started HC?

And how long were you on it before you got to 22.5?

Thanks,

Thanks so much Val! BTW-have you ever read the Insulin Resistance

Diet by Dr. Cheryle Hart?

Well she has had great success with a good majority of her

patients. The basic premise is not what you eat, but how you eat it-

linking and balancing carbs with protein to prevent the insulin

spikes, which prevents the food from being stored as fat. This

simple action is supposed to HELP OPTIMIZE your metabolism. It's

really not a diet, but a different way of eating.

I'm going to give it a try (along with Metformin or Byetta) and see

how it works for me, since I've had no luck with anything else. I'm

pretty sure that my thyroid meds are optimized now and have felt

that there was something else causing me to not lose weight, and I

think the severe IR is what is causing this for me.

Blanacing carbs and protein is a wonderful idea but I hope she includes

good fats as they also are key to helping you metab9lize carbs properly.

I think increasing my fats with everything I eat has been the biggest

help I have done for my diet.

Yes, she does talk about that as well as a number of other things in

her books. I was just stating what the basic premise of the book

is. I'm eager to see what this new protocol will do for me and will

report back. I really think that this has been the missing piece of

the puzzle for me. Thanks again Val for all that you do!
