Guest guest
Hello Eva, it's good to hear success stories with the AP. what did you take for pulmonary fibrosis? thanks, Ana ________________________________ From: magda1900 <holloway-eva@...> rheumatic Sent: Fri, March 25, 2011 6:13:36 AM Subject: rheumatic maybe remission  Dolores, I fired the rheumy just before we came to visit you in Corpus Christi. She had told me that the chemo treatment I had taken for a year had not helped me, That is why she put me on Cellcept and Enbrel. I was also taking Prednison. I had been on the antibiotics for just 9 months and I had asked in January if she would put me on the antibiotics and she told me " no way. it doesn't work " . I still saw her because she did my blood work. I stopped Cellcept and Enbrel end of March and the Prednison in May of that year. I finally told her I would not be back since I was using the AP. I still think remission is a while off for me because I took all this nasty drugs for over three years, almost four. Also I had been very sick with interstitial pulmonary fibrosis and lost a lot of weight. I am now able to walk up and down the stairs again, slowly and with the handrails and my cane. The weather still lets me know it is changing, specially when it gets cold. Dr. K had put me on Pepsid AD twice daily after it helped me, with my hands, when I was in the hospital. After 6 months it stopped so I tried using it only the first three days of the month and that seems to do the trick. My hands look a lot better. They are still dry but not as bad as when I saw you. Sure seems to be a long time. I read a log I kept when I was very sick and I couldn't believe how bad I felt. I am able to do lots more now, very little pain, I have started to clean out boxes and cabinets that have been left unattended for 6 years. my, my what a mess, it will take me a long time to get this all cleaned up. LOL. You take care and don't let any doctor mess with your eyes again. I had a friend she had both of her eyes done and she was like you with your one eye being bad. She had to get a magnifying glass to read. She dropped out of the German choir, so sad. Say HI to Mike and we hope when we have a chance we will come for a visit, We have so many things going on with both the German choirs, trips, singing festivals, meetings all over the US. Plus we have a few family visits planned. So take care, Eva
Guest guest
Hi Eva dear. You have come a long way since I met you and it sounds like you have a full plate of activities. I think being on all those immune suppressants did set you back, but you are a fighter, like me. and so I have no doubt that you will make it to remisssion soon.  Music gladdens the heart. I'll bet that you will come home from Germany like a new woman. And, of course seeing the kids is always uplifting. Do you still have family in Gemany.? My cousin lives in Manheim. She used to live in Sinsheim. She is a pop singer there and does concerts all over Europe.  I've been to Germany twice and have friends in Bavaria south of Wurttsburg. Wish I were coming with you. I loved it there. While I was there, my friend's sister-in-law had her baby christened at the church and I wound up singing, " The Lord's Prayer in German. That was a real treat. Afterward, we went to this place to eat where we were the only family.  Then we all went outside by the Danube river visiting and talking. They all spoke English and German and I was picking up bits and pieces of conversation here and there. When the table was set with all the desserts, we went in again. What a lovely reception that was. it was a real treat for us. That was in 2002 when I was just beginning to feel like something wasn't working right for me. It took more that two years to get diagnosed, but I am glad I didn't get on prednisone or chemo. I picked up my mino t oday and it was expensive. $54 for 60 pills. That is the most I have ever paid. They are going to put me in the poor house yet!~~~~Say hello to Burl and maybe one day you will surprise me. Take care, Dolores & Mike From: magda1900 <holloway-eva@...> Subject: rheumatic maybe remission rheumatic Date: Friday, March 25, 2011, 9:13 AM  Dolores, I fired the rheumy just before we came to visit you in Corpus Christi.
