Reviews are submitted four times a year for inclusion in the Cochrane Library which is available online. While the full reports are available only to universities, hospitals and other subscribers for a fee, abstracts of all reviews (in every health field including arthritis) are free and can be obtained by clicking on www.cochrane.org. The Cochrane Musculoskeletal Group produces the reviews dealing with arthritis and reports that the following reviews have been added to the Library. As they (and the rheumatic diseases) come under control, then there should be less pain. If you have severe, chronic pain, you wouldn't take an antibiotic for immediate relief; other strategies may be needed to manage the chronic pain while the antibiotics do their work.
