Guest guest
I took what the author of the article recommended( I had contacted him) - 2 of the 500 mg pills twice a day. I had a lot of problems swallowing them because I have a tiny mouth, so it would be hard to take so many a day for me. Unless, there are smaller sized pills out there? Guest guest
Mona, there is very little taste to the lysine powder. I understand at high doses, lysine is a natural protease inhibitor, preventing bacteria and viruses from spreading in your body. Dr. Matthias Rath uses it in his protocols treating heart and cancer problems, along with proline and vitamin C. I divide the dose and put it in a 16 oz. glass of water along with powdered proline. The dosage we use for prevention is 3,000 mg lysine, 1,500 mg proline and 1,500 mg. vitamin C - twice a day. These three supplements, taken at recommended dosages, are said to naturally balance your cholesterol and protect the heart from disease.
