Hi Kathy,

I cannot comment on your specific problem, except that my rheumatologist

recommends getting a flu shot BEFORE THE GENERAL PUBLIC when taking

drugs that suppress your immune system.

Thanks Ute,  So far, I am doing really well with the probiotic.  This is

something I can buy OTC.  Tonight will be the ultimate test.  I drank some real

milk for the first time in ages.  It tasted so agood.  So far no bloat or

cramping. I do not like the taste of that yuck tasting Lactaid stuff, I have

been drinking it for over a year.  I'll let you know if it works.  Yes, I

totally stay away from Immune suppressants.  I need my Immune system intact to

fight off any infectious material that may inadvertantly enter into my system.

Take care Ute and thank you for any and all information.  The best to you,

Dolores & Mike

Dolores,

Immuran suppresses the immune system, so it may not be the answer in the

long run.(No pun intended) , enjoy the reprieve, but keep checking

into other ways of treating the problem. Immune suppressants are a double

edged sword.

Take care,

Ute

Hi Dolores

If you have diarrhea, why don't you try taking yogurt? It really helps unless

you are lactose sensetive. I heard apple juice helps too.

My 14-year old son had chronic diarrhea for many years, we put him on

probiotics and it is gone!

To Sohelia.  Hi kid---Glad you are doing so much better than when I first met

you.  You work hard at it and I am proud of you.  The reason I can't eat Yogurt

is that I am very lactose intolerant.  Have been since 1967..  Milk is my

enemy!  So far, the Probiotic is working for me.  Take care, Dolores & Mike

Can't take apple juice either,  I have diabetes and there is just too much sugar

in apple juice.  For that matter, I must stay away from all fruit juices.  But

thanks for the suggestions.  I think, in order not to stir my body up, I will

stay with the Probiotics.  It is working.  Dolores & Mike

hi dolores

if you take raw milk and make your own yogurt or kefir and ferment at

least 24H the lactose is gone. also you can get probiotics by eating raw

sauerkraut and make kefir with coc water. both natural sources of

probiotics.

Thank you for your input.  I will try it when I can find the time to

make it.  I am so busy with mom and her Alzheimers that I simply forget to take

better care of myself.  I should try harder, but there is not enough time in the

day.  This caregiver needs a caregiver for Mom.  The best, Dolores & Mike
