AP while on Methotrexate and Cyclosporine

Hi Everyone, my name is . I was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis about 4

years ago.

After having gotten to the point of not being able to get out of bed without

help twice, I had

been doing okay for about a year and half. The first round was IVIG with

prednisone, that

didn't last very long however, the next round was methotrexate with

cyclosporine, and I

thought that was the winner. I am starting to go back down however, so I know I

am in fact

not better. I came accross the Fairy Lady's story, and was inspired. I am very

enthusiastic to

start on antibiotics, but read that you needed to be off methotrexate for 6

weeks. I was

wondering if anyone has taken antibiotics at the same time as methotrexate, or

if I should

wait until I'm off methotrexate again. I wish I would have started this 5

months ago, when

my doctor took me off methotrexate. If anyone can help, I would greatly

appreciate it.
