Guest guest
I thought it was illegal for US citizens to buy prescriptions from Canada? Do I need a prescription to do this? Guest guest
Hi Roni, It is legal to get a three month supply. You do need to fax them a prescription from your doctor and a Canadian doctor will countersign it, so to speak. The Canadian real brand Minocin is made by Stiefel. Make sure to have your doctor specify brand only " dispense as written " and re-iterate when you order that you want brand only. I get my prescriptions from www.buylow.com I have been to their pharmacy in person also, and they are very nice community pharmacy, not only a mail order outfit. Take care, Ute At 08:17 PM 2/18/2009, you wrote: >I thought it was illegal for US citizens to buy prescriptions from Canada? >Do I need a prescription to do this? > >Roni > RE: rheumatic O.T. Guest guest
Roni, See http://abcnews.go.com/gma/mellodyhobson/Story?id=127643 & page=2 " Although U.S. law prohibits the re-importation of prescription drugs, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will not prosecute individuals who import small quantities of prescription drugs from Canada for their own use (limited to a three-month supply). " Sincerely, Harald
Guest guest
Thanks Harald, Does it matter what state you live in? The article does not specify what " state " it is referring to in its report. Guest guest
Thank you so much! That helps with the prescriptions that my insurance gives me a hard time with /won't cover. Guest guest
Roni, This is related to US Federal Law, which applies to all states.
