Guest guest
Hi there, I was told Hypothyroidism definitely causes depression. I went 2 years suffering without being diagnosed but was put on anti- depressant 'lexapro', as soon as I was diagnosed the nurse practitioner that had prescribed for me said 'oh you won;t need that anymore, thyroid hormone replacement will fix that.. Long and short of it..I got off the lexapro after being on it 2 and half years unnecessarily..if I'd been diagnosed properly I would have been put on Armour.. I've been off it more than 3 years now. Have to say in the last 6 weeks there have been hours when I have felt like I was dipping back into depression but that is because of lack of balance in my Adrenals and thyroid and lack of understnading and help from the medical world here in Ireland that I have been subjected to!. This forum has kept me back from the edge big time. Wishing you the very best speedy recovery, Sara > I would like to know if any one here suffers from depression and can it be > related to your thyroid or adrenal problems? Guest guest
Depression can be directly related to low T3 . Once you get thyroid into the cells better iot shoudl dissipate. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
