Guest guest
I hate reading " OT dry eyes... " because its yet another indicator that AP doens't work and this site IS for AP. It drives me nuts as I already hear it from the doctors, because it doens't imply but actually says that dry eyes, mouth, throat, nose, etc..arent a rheumatic disease that is treatable with AP. No one writes " OT joint pain due to RA. " So if there IS hope, then NO, not Off topic. And no single item that is sold in stores works much for any of it, not eye ointments, not saliva substitute which is a huge joke, so when I read about people using stuff from the store on this board it discourages me even furhter because it implies that we cant stop this disease let alone improve where we are at now. Sorry to go off, I am so miserable, especially lately, and this is the only place that gave me hope once. Ken and <kglg@...> wrote: Thanks for your suggestion. Guest guest
Just another note from I have severe Sjogrens. I've had to use antibiotic drops in my eyes because, especially after plane rides or if I'm around a smoke filled room, I develop ulcers on my eyes. With my current amoxicillan and azithromycin, my dry eyes/dry mouth/dry body have seemed to improve enough that my tongue (for instance) no longer feels like a dry piece of sanddpaper, and I can keep my eyes open and they are much more comfortable. For my dry mouth, I have started using Biotene toothpaste from Target. I'm not sure, but I think it helps a bit. **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Watch video on AOL Living. Guest guest
Vicki, have hope--that is so important for your healing. I put " OT " because of my vitreous detachment which has nothing to do with RA or the AP. The dry eyes started after that for me. I have found people willing to share what helps them, and so it's a useful resource here to be able to ask questions. We all have ups and downs with this treatment. Read Dr. Brown's book if you haven't already. It's also helpful to read the success stories at rheumatic.org. They, too, will give you hope. All the best, Re: rheumatic OT: dry eyes, vitreous detacment I use GenTeal gel for severe dry eyes. It seems to work quite well. Guest guest
Hi , I find the Biotene mouthwash, especially at night time before bed, also helps. I purchase both at Costco for about $5.00 each. El _____ From: rheumatic [mailto:rheumatic ] On Behalf Of kjdel1977@...
