Guest guest
How can we calm the sympatheic nervous system which seems to be in overdrive for many of us, causing feelings of stress, anxiety, inability to digest food etc. If I could go for a realxation massage every day or even every second day that would help but alas, not possible. Is there anything else that would help? Elyse
Guest guest
I think writing helps me. Or, recommended by a few docs is meditation...its not so physical and won't raise your pulse a ton like yoga. I havent tried meditation yet, but will once I understand it. That, or if you're religous...pray! There are also tons of counting excerises out there to calm you during a stressful event. But, if something is going to stress you out, its not the stressful event that hurts you, its the effect it has on your body. Guest guest
, It's not that I get stressed with a particular event, it's that I constantly feel tense and stressed at ALL times, even just before bed or just when I wake up. I do mediatate by the way, but it doesn't seem to be enough. I'm wondering what I ca do as well, if anyone has found any supplements or treatments helpful. I've heard of something called Network Chiropractic that's supposed to help. Anyone here tried it? Guest guest
Pets are supposed to help people with stress. Especially the act of petting them. If you don't have one and decide to get a pet, be sure to pick on that is very calm and laid back though! Cherie Experience: that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God do you learn.--C.S. > > , > It's not that I get stressed with a particular event, it's that I > constantly feel tense and stressed at ALL times, even just before bed > or just when I wake up.
