Guest guest
Hey all, just wanted to post some info....Having read multiple studies on the POM Wonderful juice and its help with vascular issues....I decided to buy some at Costco...(something like 9.99 for 64 oz) and began drinking this daily...a Cup at a time...not more because it does have sugar in it...anyway...after a couple months...I did not feel any different...BUT My long time Internist did some labs and oddly enough, my triglycerides...were now normal....Shocked us both! My diet had not changed, nor had I made any changes and the statins do not work on the high triglycerides...mine had always been abnormally high, close to 400...for some reason after 3 months of drinking POM Wonderful...they were now normal...with no other diet changes...we were both shocked...so she repeated the labs...still normal...Since my triglycerides have never been normal since my cholesterol has been tested, needless to say we were both veryyy pleased...I looked over all their studies and did not see any mention of this little bonus...but still... I do drink another drink, Kombucha Wonder Drink...also on a rather reg basis...I am addicted to that stuff...I get it at Whole Foods...a case is 10% off....and I usually drink 1/2 a bottle every other day...so I suppose the sudden lowering of the trigs could have been the Kombucha Wonder Drink as well....who knows...The Kombucha is great, I get the Asian Pear Ginger...made with organic Oolong tea...Since I drink both on a reg basis I cannot be sure what lowered the trigs, but they are down and staying down...so....just wanted to put it out there for anyone struggling with their triglyceride levels... The study that led me to the POM pomegranite drink was the one wherein they measured atherosclerosis in the veins of patients with problems in this area...the ones on the POM, in the study had a lessening of this...whereas the patients not drinking POM had more...gives specifics...I am sure it is on their website...but I found it promising...and wanted to try... Hope this helps some of you...I know its not a rheumatic issue but we do have to deal with other health issues as well....Have a great day all of you.
