Guest guest
I would ask the doctor you are seeing to prescribe you 20MG HC. Whilew your resuts are certainly not the worst I ahve seen they are not where they need ot be either. Correcting your hypothyri wil probabyl help the BP and the atenolol shoudl be replaced wiht a an ace inhibitor type BP med Atenolol will lower thyroid. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Or do you split it up through the day? Do you know what higher aldosterone levels mean? I could take an ace inhibitor, but I need a beta blocker to manage the high pulse rate. Have you heard of Tarka? My sister has high pulse and bp and seems to feel that it is doing the trick. Any suggestions? I know you had a bad experience with a beta blocker. I would like to get off of them, since they increase my fatigue, but nothing else seems to control my pulse rate. Thanks so much! a
Guest guest
The high Aldosterne may be the cause of your high BOP but I am not sure how they treat it. Have oyu had sodium and potassium levels checked? With high Aldosterone you may have high sodium. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Oh and the HC you would split up during the day. Taking it all in the AM would insure you would run low later in the day. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

It was on the high end of normal. My potassium was 4.9 (normal being 3.5-5.3). What's weird is my aldosterone was low normal a year ago. Any idea what would cause the swing to out of range high? Any idea what would cause the swing to out of range high?<< There is alot of controversy abotu whether aldosterone reacts to ACTH or not. Some say it does others say no. I would say if you have low cortisol and not treating it, you most liekly have high ACTH which could stimulate high aldosterone. Then when you treat the cortils it can pusthj the aldosterone too low until the adrneals get back inthe swing of things and can produce normally themselves. but this is all just theory, as no one seems ot have these answers. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
So, Val, are you saying that treating with HC can lower aldosterone? My doctor told me that in my recent visit -- but I was skeptical. > > >>Yes, my sodium was 144 (normal being 135-146). It was on the high end > of normal. My potassium was 4.9 (normal being 3.5-5.3).
