Guest guest
Hey, JoAnn. Ya know planes fly to this part of the country too. Check out the fares to Hartford, CT. It's a stone's throw away. I'll drive this old fat tired body down there and pick YOU up for a long weekend. You can get educated about llamas and the like and I bet we could even talk Tricia into having dinner with us. Right, Tricia? Barbara
Guest guest
Now my friend that I will take you up on. Just have hard time not letting that guilt thing pop up for having you pick me up. Do you have hotel near by you? And would love for Tricia to be with us. Will make that trip, know Russ will let me. Just got to get it planned and date set. WIll try and see if the 3 of us can actually get our bodies not in flares at same time. Now that alone would be miracle but I believe in those. Hugs JoAnn Re: Tricia, JoAnn Hey, JoAnn. Guest guest
No need for a hotel, JoAnn. I have room. You just have to put up with the fact that I haven't painted the upstairs hall yet.....a"few" things interfered (R, S, and D). Let's fiddle with dates and I bet we could talk Trica into a rendezvous. Hey, we have Donna out in the eastern part of the state too. Let's do lunch (and breakfast AND dinner). Airport isn't far so not to worry. Guest guest
Well did not know you all could do this so soon, so really depends on Barbara as I gave dates of middle Oct. or end of Oct. Just because Sept is taken up now. Oh and Donna, think we should all 3 just bunk with Barbara at her home but not sure how far she is from airport. How far are you Barbara? Take care all my friends s Momma JoAnn Re: Tricia, JoAnn >> > > I would LOVE to get together! Im about 45 minutes from the airport so > thats not so bad! If any of you have a fondness for Halloween October would be a perfect time! Salem has a month long celebration of Halloween including Vendors, haunted houses, parades and other fun stuff. Its a perfect time for leaf peeping a little further up North and apple picking is at its peak! Hugs Donna
Guest guest
The trip to see Donna is a relatively easy day trip and I'm about 40 minutes from the Hartford airport....very workable. I have one of the bedrooms set up for guests so there's no problem with you staying here, JoAnn. Tricia is a majorly easy drive (half hour). Mid-October sounds good to me. That will give me a month to put money back into the bank. lol BarbaraJoAnn & Russ Ford wrote: Well did not know you all could do this so soon, so really depends onBarbara as I gave dates of middle Oct. or end of Oct. Guest guest
Donna - Halloween is my all time favorite holiday. And you're right when you say Salem is a great place to go on Halloween. Until RSD set up shop in my nervous system, I used to go to Salem every year - I have a fascination with historical events, so it started off as a trip to see the history behind the Salem witch trials and the House of Seven Gables and such. The last couple of times I went down were on Halloween, though.....used to go to Foxboro Stadium to Spookyworld, too. Guess you could call me a "low risk" adrenaline junkie If Salem is in your vicinity, then perhaps I have been out your way....just never been to the Cape. Definitely something worth thinking about, though. Could be a lot of fun. TriciaDonna wrote: If any of you have a fondness for Halloween October would be a perfect time! Guest guest
Trica - If you try to get to Cape Ann by going to the Cape you're gonna be majorly lost. Ya can't git there from there. Cape Ann is NORTH of Boston, girl. You sure that you're a Yankee? (BTW I still have the axillary catheter...He agreed to that it should saty in though there's apparently a risk of damage to the nerve....like what the heck else could happen to it that hasn't happened already?!?!? Will see him again next week.) BarbaraTricia Skiba wrote: Donna - Halloween is my all time favorite holiday. And you're right when you say Salem is a great place to go on Halloween. About 2 yrs ago I worked at the Salem Witch Village as a tour guide. We would bring people through various parts of the maze talking about medieval times, salems historical district, the witch trials and various myths and misconceptions about witchcraft and Pagansim. I spent about a year doing this and loved working with the public. I have never been to Spookyworld but I have been to Topsfield fair a few times for their halloween festivities and in Gloucester we have Hammond Castle which is open every weekend and is decked out to be really spooky. The castle has a dungeon which is really creepy Have a great night! Hugs Donna
Guest guest
Donna - I've done that tour so many times now, the Witch Museum, the Witch House and Dungeon, the cemetery....seen the reenactment they do of the Witch trials starting out on the cobblestone. Who knows, maybe I've run into you down there before If I lived closer I'd probably be there all the time myself. The castle sounds like it'd be a place I enjoy......(what can I say, I'm a horror movie buff , too - not really your typical girl thing, but it works for me ) Take care and have a good night. Guest guest
Tricia - Interestingly I didn't have to talk him into it. He came in clearly intending to just check it out (didn't even remove the dressing....just felt the site and watched for wincing ). He pulled out his PDA and said "How does the 29th sound?" I told him that it worked for me and then we shot the bull. I reminded him that since Amy and Doug had been the ones to put the cath in that it was really considered a transitional object and not to be messed with in consideration for my emotional well-being. He laughed and offered that he guessed he'd have to spring for tickets to Wisconsin when he removed it then. Coming to agreement on that, he played out the risks/concerns andstayed with his original plan. I think that he's thinking that we'll just check it each week. I agree that it will be nice to be able to continue with the lower pain levels during my little break. Hope that you're doing better. Are you?Tricia Skiba wrote: Barbara - Sad how little I know about our home state isn't it? Take me to Tennessee on the other hand and I know where most things are. So, perhaps I am a southerner in Yankee clothing (the geographic distinction, not the baseball one )? So glad he let you stay attached. Helps you to prolong the relief and procrastinate with the anxiety of having it removed. I had complete faith in you, that you'd be able to make him see reason. Plus now you'll still have your friend to help you enjoy the beginning of your vacation. I completely understand your point about the risk.....seems most decisions lately have benefits that far outweigh the risks, doesn't it? I'll have to see what the tag teams brothers may or may not have in store for me on Friday. With any luck the world will have "straightened" itself out by then Take care and I'll talk to you soon. Unfortunately the city itself is trying to veer away from the whole " witchcraft " area and veer toward its maritime history which is just as important but however will simply not be enough to attract its toursists because thats not why a majority of people come into Salem. I highly doubt it will ever happen though, people who live and work there as well as the toursits themselves would never let it happen. If you're ever in the area Tonia, I will show you around and introduce you to some fascinating people! Donna
Guest guest
Seems like each season has something very special in your area. Oh how need to move their when Russ can retire. Might be alot older but think I can find way to still have fun after had all my face lifts, leg, butt lifts, stomach flattened and of course the pain from all these things totally gone by then for ALL of us. After the pain is all gone the treat will be to redo myself as sure the years of pain will not only do its number on many things in our lives but stress and pain do number on how we all look after 20 or so years. So want those years to be extra special for Russ and myself. Think that could sound selfish but really expect this rsd and Fibro to be taken care of and all of us will get together to celebrate. Yeah, already planning on this. s Momma JoAnn Re: Tricia, JoAnn > > > If any of you have a fondness for Halloween October would be a > perfect time!
