Guest guest
Shalom y'all, Saliva testing days are boring, I'm sure watching the clock. I'm reading things about licorice, holy basil, ashwaganda and such for adrenal support. I stopped all of those about 5 weeks ago in anticipation of saliva testing. Has anyone had any decent results using these types of support nutrients. I am in therapy for PTSD with a GREAT therapist using EMDR (sounds wacko but it works) Have a few people really pushing the Candida side of all my " ailments " because they are saying so many symptoms overlap. I realize I can do nothing definitive until the salavia test results are back. Just trying to do my research now. My weight gain has apparently stabelized. I lost almost 60 lbs at one point and have put back on about 15. I was overweight to begin with, but this was NOT a healthy weight loss. Am begining to feel the nausea again, and feeling like I just can't eat.... Don't want to go the unhealthy weight loss again, but would like to drop a few of those 15 in a healthy way. I'm posting way too much today, I promise not to do this every day. Yeah, 15 min till the next tube begins...... kc in az

Guest guest
I have read in several places where Candida can cause adrenal fatigue. Dont know if that is true but it would help explain why my fatigue symptoms didn't resolve when the candida was taken care of. I would say that staying away from sugar and grains would be a win win situation for you in that it will stop feeding the yeast and maybe help with those few pounds you would like to lose. Sugar isn't so great for the adrenals either. I will say that it was VERY HARD for me to give it up but I was so desperate for help that I did. I did add it back after my problems were resolved, I am not wonder woman! Guest guest
Some well meaning folks are discounting the Adrenal/Thyoid connection and instead encouraging me to look at diet only. some symptoms overlap like, insomnia, brain fog, fatigue, muscle pains and such. I know what my diet has been like and I KNOW what my real life stressors have been. Candida is a systemic fungal growth, in ladies we often get specific type infections, in babies, they could get thrush... all related to the fungus, Candida. (my understanding only, am open to correction) <<What do you mean by the " Candida " side of your ailments? I am learning to that many symptoms overlap, but I've never heard this word used...Candida..>> Does this help?? kc in az
Guest guest
So, how do you test for it? Is it something that lingers in you, so to speak, or something you can like a virus? I will look that book up?? Guest guest
basically it is considered a bad bacteria in the body - everyone has it - however the balance of good bacteria vs. bad bacteria gets out of wack and the body has an abundance of bad vs good. it usually will settle in the weakest part of the individuals body. check out the book - it is an excellent resource! stacy Re: Alternative Adrenal Support > > > > > > > Have a few people really pushing the Candida side of all > my " ailments " > > because they are saying so many symptoms overlap. > > What do you mean by the " Candida " side of your ailments? > > I am learning to that many symptoms overlap, but I've never heard this > word used...Candida. . > > Thanks for explaining. > > Learning too > > > > > > > > > ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _ ____________ __ > Never miss a thing. Guest guest
Just to clarify...yeast is a fungus, not a bacteria. Candida is usually local as in yeast infection women get...but can become systemic where there is just too much yeast in our bodies and it can affect alot of things. Google " candida albicans " for more info. Guest guest
I'd be interested in answers to your question too! > > I'm reading things about licorice, holy basil, ashwaganda and such for > adrenal support. Guest guest
Yeah, thanks. I just asked my doc if he tested me for it, apparently there are antibodies, and he said he was waiting for the first treatment plan to kick it, to see if I felt better. Arg! i hate docs like that. I want testings for EVERYTHING up front...and then to decide a further treatment plan...not waist time trying stuff. Thank you. > > Some well meaning folks are discounting the Adrenal/Thyoid connection and > instead encouraging me to look at diet only. > > some symptoms overlap like, insomnia, brain fog, fatigue, muscle pains and > such. > > I know what my diet has been like and I KNOW what my real life stressors > have been. > > Candida is a systemic fungal growth, in ladies we often get specific type > infections, in babies, they could get thrush... all related to the fungus, > Candida.
