Guest guest
OMG I just checked my citi credit card on the net and there were 4 charges for a restaurant in Canada for $159 each! I freaked. But they are removing them. Please check your charge cards for any charges not made by you. Apparently someone stole my card number. I have heard about these things happening but I never thot it would happen to me. cooky
Guest guest
Cooky, make sure you report it to the police as theft, we had to do this. someone stole our number and bought stuff in Pakistan. Also cancel that card and ask the credit card company to issue a new one and make sure you have a password for your card. When I went to Germany I was robbed and and they where not able to use that card. They got my cash, passport, driver licenses and air line ticket, but I went to the American consulate ad got a new passport and since I had a photo copy of my old passport they where able to cancel it and the number can not be used again. Guest guest
This has happened to me. Once it happened with an Amex card, that I had received years before & had never used the card. I just suddenly received a bill for this Amex card showing charges in another state. When I reported it, I learned that I hadn't even called to validate that I had ever received the card. So somehow, someone got my card number even though I had never ever used the card. To me, it seems that someone had accessed credit records. Actually, I've had unauthorized charges a number of times now. I always report it, they take it off and issue me a new card. I've never had to pay.
