Guest guest
His thyroid LOOKS a bit low but as long as temps are normal I would nto add to this, possibly those numbers hae changed since adding in the HC. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
When his labs were done, he had been on them for two weeks and was up to the top dose of 20mg - 10-5-2.5-2.5 ... and they were better than his saliva test the month before.... But the VA doc says he has to see an endo before he will okay for them to furnish his HC, which is real cheap...so we had to pay full price for the HC, I ordered some extra thru an online phmcy and they shouldl be here soon. He has a VA blood test on 1/22 that his doc had ordered for him. But they never do a FT3 test.... should I have our other provider doc for him do a blood test for him before we go up to the Endo on 1/28???? From looking at his labs below where the T4 is high in window and T3 is low in window, doesn't that mean T4 is not being converted? Could it be his lisinopril doing that???And he takes Coreg which is a beta blocker.....you said you took them for along time and got off of them, did they block your convertsion of T4 to T3 Val??? Because he does have some symptoms of hypo, especially his weight and not able to lose...of course when he started HC his feet got warm which I know is a symptom also, he says he is able to remember things better now also since HC....I know his VA regular doc did not think he should take HC, and a possibility their endo won't either. But I am going to be prepared with questions for him, to see what he believes....then go from there....got any suggestions Val to ask him and show him written stuff???? Thanks in advance, love you girl... > His thyroid LOOKS a bit low but as long as temps are normal I would nto > add to this, possibly those numbers hae changed since adding in the HC. > My husband is on HC - 10-5-2.5-2.5 has been on this for a week now. > His feet have gotten warm and he has good feeling in his feet again > since starting HC.... > > His temps have been stable at 98.5 to 98.6 for the last three days > before today. > > Free T3......2.8....2.4-3.9 > Free T4......1.0....0.6-1.2 > TSH.........0.97...0.40-5.80 > > He is still taking lisinopril, haven't got to talk to his doc yet but > plan to, its the ace inhibitor that blocks T4 according to my doc... > > Have any of your great advice as to what should be done if any????? > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >

Guest guest
HI, forgot to tell you he does not keep very good temp records when I started going thru them to give to you. I will keep at him about doing it correctly and writing them down. So I am not sure how stable he really is, but all I know is he said they have been from 98.2 up to 98.8 but if I understand him that is daily.....not averages > When his labs were done, he had been on them for two weeks and was up > to the top dose of 20mg - 10-5-2.5-2.5 ... and they were better than > his saliva test the month before.... > > But the VA doc says he has to see an endo before he will okay for > them to furnish his HC, which is real cheap...so we had to pay full > price for the HC, I ordered some extra thru an online phmcy and they > shouldl be here soon. Guest guest
Okay I will have him order the labs, I agree about the importance of the T3....But with his last labs where the T4 was high and T3 was low, what does that mean usually??? > I would order the labs to get the Free T3, it is too important to tr to > make decisions wihtout it., > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
Guest guest
How would you treat the thyroid resistance or conversion? Could it be his BP meds, he takes lisinopril and Coreg.....he is diabetic, high cholesterol....he went over the symptoms of hypo last nite and he has many of them....we just want to be prepared for that VA endo, not knowing for sure how he will be..... > >>But with his last labs where the T4 was high and T3 was low, > what does that mean usually???<< > > EIther thyr0id resistance or poor conversion or both. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
