Guest guest
have you graphed your temps to be certain you are on enoguh HC? How abou your Ferritin? It may not have come up enough yet to tolerate anythyroid. I would think SR T3 would be easier on your system, btu I have also seen many times when it did not work either. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Well Val, I'm on 30 mgs. of HC. I continue to take 200 mgs. ferrous gluconate daily and last time checked my ferritin had come up to 40 from 23 (3 weeks prior). I'll keep taking my iron but I am definitely VERY sensitive to thyroid, esp. cytomel. I will see how I handle the timed release T3 and stay on my iron. Thanks Re: cytomel HELP have you graphed your temps to be certain you are on enoguh HC? How abou your Ferritin? It may not have come up enough yet to tolerate anythyroid. Guest guest
You sure sound like me, - exactly. Even when my temps were steady, I would almost lose my mind even on a smidgen of timed-release T3. I'm hoping it's low ferritin or I'm doomed to a life of hypo, which is certainly better than feeling hyper and wired. I hope your doctor visit will help you to get optimal, and I'm going to keep working on ferritin level. Best Wishes, Pat cytomel HELP I've been trying to take just tidbits of the cytomel I ordered and I cut it up so that I'm only taking about 4 or 5 mcgs. and still, I get all wired up with that hyper feeling sort of like having a panic attack. Tuesday I go to Dr. Blanchard for timed release T3. Is it going to make a big difference and not cause this to happen when it's timed release. I sure hope so, otherwise, I'm in big trouble trying to treat my hypoT.
Guest guest
Pat, I guess you're saying that even on the timed release T3 you still had the same problem, not just straight T3 (cytomel) right? sandra cytomel HELP I've been trying to take just tidbits of the cytomel I ordered and I cut it up so that I'm only taking about 4 or 5 mcgs. and still, I get all wired up with that hyper feeling sort of like having a panic attack. Guest guest
Yes, , ever since the doctor- induced hyperthyroidism which evidently adversely affected my adrenals, even Licorice does it to me. The timed-released T3 perscribed in 2003 - 7,5 mg morning and 7.5 night, along with 60 mg. armour is what finally gave me good physical and mental health. That changed when a virus evidently threw my bloodwork off and my doctor kept upping my Armour. I never dreamed it would throw me into such a nightmare. I'm feeling well enough now on the Isocort and cream that I feel I'll be able to figure something out with the help of everyone here. I hope you will be able to tolerate thr T3 if you haven't tried it yet. Keep us posted.
