Guest guest
I have no idea how much cortisol is in the product he was taking. ANd be not so quick to think I think the natural route is best, it is just good to try first. In a child it has the best cahnce of actually working as their bodies are not as poisoned as adults are. But that doe s not mean it WILL work, but sure worth a try. I treat my pets myself. I cannot afford all the testing necessary to get a vet , IF I could find a vet that jnew what they were doing, which I have not. I treat by behaviur, and do labs once a year on sex hormones and thyroid. and my fatty cat glucose testing at home. The last vet that tested his glucose told me it was normal at 560. " Scuse me! Normal for a cat is the same as a human if not a tad lower.. 90's is normal; for fasting. He said the stress of the vet visit raised it that much and I did not believe him, I was right I now test him at home and we have kept Diabetes at bay wiht proper and HIGH doses of natural thyroid. He gets 9 grains a day. And NOW his glucose really IS high normal around 105 ion the mornings before he eats. My one that is on Pred was difficult to adjust. But she gets the typical high estrogen when her cortiosl is too low and luckily for me NESTING behaviour! She will start dragging all my clothes under the bed to make her " nest " and sleep on them whne her estrogen ins too high and thus cortisol too low. On the proper dose of Pred not only does she not tear her back open but the nesting behaviour stops as well and she sleeps on top of the bed like a normal cat. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
