Guest guest
Hey Debbie -- I went and read the article. I am so glad that it worked out for you. I hope you can find another hospital quickly. And nice picture! Bonnie Lou > > Hi everyone, the story about my battle with the hospital where I get the photopheresis is in the Cincinnati Enquirer today...It will air tonight on Indiana ABC Affilitate Channel 6 this evening...Hubby tells me that there are many emails already about the story...AND that one person wrote...why did I not just pay the money I owed???? LOL Well, since our deductible and out of pocket is $5000, clearly, I did not owe any more than that...duh, and further, this person missed the huge fact that the hospital fraudently had me sign the form, stating they CANNOT bill Medicare without it...anyway, it is there if anyone wants to read...I am tired....off to lie down...now the battle begins to A)find another place for my tx...and to be sure that no other Medicare patient is fraudulently forced to sign the form... > Take care, Debbie > >

Guest guest
Debbie I guess some people have that kind of money. I guess that person is not on disability, retired or on a fixed income!! Hope they call you and tell you that you can come back to the hospital for your treatment and they apologize due to the media !!! It will be a first for me because every time I have contacted the media about something I was ignored so all I can say is " GOOD FOR YOU DEB!!!!! Guest guest
Hi, Cooky, I don't think that person read the entire piece....why would I pay when I did not owe it...they were trying to use that form...that they falsely had me sign, telling me I had to to submit a claim to Medicare and then balance billing me whatever ins had not paid...because they were billing wrong, ins was denying claims...I ignored it... I don't think that the hosp will apologize at all...even tho we have them on tape saying that, about the form...how it is required to submit a claim...and we have proof that they are billing incorrectly...they stillrespsonded to the paper and in the letter to me...that they have not billed incorrectly and further that they have notdone anything in appropriate...they are lying outright...and they know I can prove it...I have a phone consult with one atty today and will probably sue them...they should be sued for doing that to disabled patients... Keep you all posted...oh, and re the newspaper...it took me months for them to be interested..I called them, wrote emails....finally I looked up online all their editors and went down the list calling...finally foundone who sent out a reporter...Steve Kimme...he did a good job...took weeks of effort tho...most editors told me it was a billing dispute and were not interested,....This editor understood it was attempted defrauding fo a Medicare patient...she got it... Hugs to you...hang in there..Debb rheumatic Deb Gibson update/newspaper Hi everyone, the story about my battle with the hospital where I get the photopheresis is in the Cincinnati Enquirer today...It will air tonight on Indiana ABC Affilitate Channel 6 this evening...Hubby tells me that there are many emails already about the story...AND that one person wrote...why did I not just pay the money I owed????
