Guest guest
- one cup frozen strawberries, raspberries or blueberries - 3 to 4 raw eggs - raw coconut meat or cream - lots of butter (1/2 to 1 stick) - one cup raw milk or 1/2 cup cream/1/2 cup milk combo - unheated honey to taste (usually a large tablespoon) - royal jelly and bee pollen (when available) *** I am sure this has been discussed before, but I am new to all this: is it okay to eat the egg whites raw? I have heard conflicting opinion on this. Some seem to say just eat the yolks... but is it okay when they are both together? Is this the key? Do I have this right? In other words, no raw egg whites without the raw egg yolks along with them? Thanks... Carolyn
Guest guest
Here is a excerpt from www.beyondveg.com regarding the toxicity of egg whites: Egg Whites Raw egg white contains a protein called " conalbumin " which binds to iron. Additionally, raw egg white contains avidin, which binds to biotin and can impair metabolism of other B-vitamins. Note however that raw egg toxicity should not be overstated: 20 raw eggs per day for several weeks would be necessary to create a biotin deficiency. Guest guest
I had the opportunity again to hear Sally speak last Saturday. She said that an occasional egg white causes no harm, I am not sure it would follow for up to 20 per day, however, I too have read that this amount is safe. I don't think I want to be the guinea pig. > Here is a excerpt from www.beyondveg.com regarding the toxicity of egg > whites: > > Egg Whites > > Raw egg white contains a protein called " conalbumin " which binds to iron. > Additionally, raw egg white contains avidin, which binds to biotin and > can impair metabolism of other B-vitamins.
