Guest guest
D & M here is my report for you on day 3. I was hungry as ever until late in day 3. Then it was like a switch went off and the hunger was very manageable. I has not completely gone away but compared to the none stop cravings I think it could be much easier from here on out, at least for me. Brain Fog is still very much here but I do honestly feel a very slight mental clarity returning so I am rather excited about that. Again this could be due directly to stopping the plaquenil. I rad from someone that was on it and had to stop because of side effects that it took her 50 days to get over them after she stopped. The pain in my hands seemed the worse at the end of day 2. Day 3 it was less but still very much there. I have noticed my body temp has dropped while being on the fast, I get cold much easier than normal. I'm in day 4 right now and am thinking I might actually break my fast early because I am leaving town with my girlfriend this weekend and won't be able to continue it. So I'll give you a brief report of how I feel. Same as above honestly except my hands do feel pretty much pain free, albeit still a bit stiff. Before I cry this has worked, I should note that in the mornings for whatever reason, my hands will typically be stiff but not hurt. As I use them and the day goes on, they start to flare up, so it's a bit early to tell. Brain fog is still here but again I feel a slight bit of clarity. Hunger is there but not as bad as it was in day 1-3 in the early part of the day. Hope this helps you in your book and let me know if you have any more specific questions. > > > > The broth sounds good. Guest guest
: You have passed the hurdle and I hope that you will break your fast safely, whenever you decide. I would be careful about diet after the fast; perhaps not eat too many grains--especially processed and nothing fried. If you have AS and not RA it would be better to eliminate starches but Mercola has had great results with people by eliminating all grains. It is good to find a healthy yoghurt, like Stonyfield Farms or Brown Cow and take 'medicinal' amounts at first (about 2oz max at any time) and also seek other foods that help to heal the tract (lychee fruits and okra, especially). Good for You in overcoming the food withdrawals--a natural urge that usually beats us as we now die of over-consumption when we used to die of consumption...Actually, fasting is the famine part of the Paleolithic diet that was left out, but it is a necessary part of our cycle, Best to You, From: Petty <jamesapetty@...> Subject: rheumatic Day 3 rheumatic Date: Thursday, November 13, 2008, 10:31 AM D & M here is my report for you on day 3. Guest guest
Hi , We are all reading and watching your progress and cheering you on. You have just past a hurdle! Congratulations. I didn't know that you are giving me permission to include your decision to diet with broth and print the story into my book. I don't even know what disease(s) you have and how long you've been ill. I don't know what else you have tried besides Minocin and Plaquenil, nor how long you have been on them. Were you told to go off everything before starting this diet and what are the expectations? How long does this diet last and are there instructions for when you return to eating solids? I hope you have a good moderator. M. is giving you great advice. He is very knowledgable re: AP and MP. Well take care and we will be watching for Day # 4. Have a great night.
