Guest guest
Morning 2 depressed noon 9 normal 5pm 15 elevated midnight elevated Just your AM levels of cortiosl should have the flags flying for adrenal fatigue if your doctor had a clue, which obviously he doesn't. I would either be hunting anopther doctor or self treating this wiht HC. By taking some HC in the AM it will not only raise your levels where they shoudl be but it will also lower your ACTh which will lower your too high afternoon and night time levels. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Have you looked for doctors in your area here: http://www.thyroid-info.com/topdrs/ There is also a site where you can check for doctors who will prescribe Armour, but I don't have the link. You can also try asking around at pharmacies to see if you can find someone else who will prescribe Armour in your area. Hope you feel better soon! Cherie Experience: that most brutal of teachers. Guest guest
Cherie My doc is a TOP DOC listed on that site that is how I have found him. But in my own opinion..He Shouldn't be listed there, as the only good thing he has done for me is prescribe Armour. Other than that he only tests TSH, and doesn't listen to any of my concerns. Guest guest
Donna, Since those Cortisol saliva labs were done in April, and you have undergone much stress in the last few months - I would redo the saliva labs on your own while you try to find a doc to treat your adrenals. That way you'll have a head start with new doc. Much could have changed since April with all that stress. And once you begin HC you will not be able to test cortisol without going off the HC. I had many of your specific symptoms, especially the inability to handle the littlest stress (I would totally come apart). Was barely functioning by the time I found out about adrenal fatigue. My cortisol was very low in the am, and non-existent the rest of the day! I am doing much better now on 22.5mg HC (still ramping up). You have a ways to go, but there is much hope for you, especially with being on this great list! -Sharon Donna wrote: > > Now I did order the saliva tests from Diagnos-tech last april and > those test results are below...BUT AGAIN MY DOCS HERE IN MINNESOTA > DON'T BELIEVE IN THESE TESTS (SALIVA). > > TSH 72 normal 26-85 > FT4 0.37 normal 0.17-0.42 > FT3 0.62 normal 0.28-1.10 > TPO Positive > > Estradiol 20 normal > Progesterone 243 normal > Free Testosterone 31 elevated > > Cortisol > Morning 2 depressed > noon 9 normal > 5pm 15 elevated > midnight elevated > Cortisol Burden 37 with norms between 23-42 > > DHEA 7 normal

As cortioslk goes too low the hypoglycemia gets worse as it is cortiosl that causes a release of glucagon from the liver to carry your normal glucose in between meals. When your adrneals are able ot muster enough cortisl the thyroid get sto the cell, it doens;t all stop at once so period when it gets ot the ells an then periods when it doesn;t are common. This can rise and lower TSH as can thyroid antibodies destroying the htyroid. As parts are destroyed they rlease their hormones in that particular tiussue and you can actually go hyoper thne once that tissue;s thyroid hormones are used up you go back hypo. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Hi Donna - I'm sorry to hear about your doctor troubles, we've all had similar problems trying to find a doctor who will listen. I'm from Wisconsin and currently seeing Dr. Debra Muth at the Spring City Health Centre (www.springcityhealthcentre.com) in Waukesha. I'm not sure how far away this is for you but they are up to speed on proper thyroid testing and Adrenal Fatigue treatment (and they take my Blue Cross Blue Shield too). I hope you can find the help you need! Guest guest
Maybe he got on there just for being willing to prescribe the Armour... You might think about writing in and letting them know how is is treating. It certainly doesn't sound like he belongs on there. Cherie Experience: that most brutal of teachers.
