Guest guest
Hey , I'm curious, you said " I've been using Tropical Traditions' coconut oil, which is superb, and I might well switch to Coconut Oil Supreme, which actually seems even better " I've been in conversation with both companies on this topic. COS appears to be somewhat clandestine in their willingness to disclose a number of manufacturing issues such as actual processing temp, organic/non organic coconuts, where manufacture occurs. I have just begun this inquiry so if you have some other info please let me know. Thanks, DMM

Hmm, good point! The counter-argument is that the oil, once separated from the plant, is no longer living and no longer has any defences against such extremes of heat, but I have no idea whether 118 degrees is sufficient to cause problems. Nor do I know how much weight to give the fact that the COS doesn't have the slight bite to it that the TT oil does. -
Guest guest
Mike (sorry couldn't resist) :-) In an earlier post you asked me about the raw liver juice and whether I used it or not. I said no. But you also made mention that Dr. Gerson stopped using the liver juice toward the end of his career because he couldn't find a clean source of liver. I could be wrong but IIRC, it was his daughter, Charlotte Gerson, who stopped using the liver juice for patients who were getting their liver from US based sources, long after her father was dead. I think they were having a problem with CAMPY outbreak and discontinued because of that. The Institute has since said that it is possible to get untainted liver from the US but that they have improved upon the protocol w/o returning to liver juice. This is what I remember of the episode.
