Sonja,

RealSalt by Redmond Minerals is one option. If you can buy it in bulk at

wholesale it's about $1.50 a pound.

Walton Feed in Montpelier, Idaho sells 25# RealSalt for $32.70. That's

$1.31/lb before shipping. They also have 50# packed in buckets. If you

order items totalling 200# (Walton carries many grains and other products -

be sure you look for " organic " ), you can get UPS hundredweight shipping

which is cheaper than regular UPS. http://waltonfeed.com/salt.html

You can also buy directly from the manufacturer, Redmond Minerals. They

will sell at wholesale to co-ops or church groups who buy in bulk if you

purchase 8 cases or more. http://www.realsalt.com/

Celtic Sea Salt in bulk from Azure Standard is about $3.55 a pound including

shipping to SC which is where I happen to live. :)www.azurestandard.com

22# Celtic Sea Salt $60 + $18shipping

I enjoy using these salts because I believe they deliver a balance that

other more refined salts do not give. My own personal motto on living and

eating is " balance. " My thinking is that God designed naturally occurring

salts to contain much more than pure sodium chloride and therefore, if we

eat only sodium chloride, we will not fill the trace mineral need our body

would normally fill by consuming salt. By using a more " complete " , balanced

salt, less may actually be more for our bodies. I have no scientific

evidences, research, or studies to refer you to - only my natural gut

feeling that tells me this is so. :)
