Guest guest
Cameron had his. He is 20 mo. Had one last year too. He escaped any serious " bugs " last year and had no side effects from either shot. His siblings are also on the " pediatricians priority list " for the shots and much to their dismay receive them too. Good luck, Riley flu shot Has any of your kids gotten the flu shot? Sam was recommended to have one, but wanted some feed back first on all of your thoughts before she has it. Thanks _________________________________________________________________ Broadband? Guest guest
and all, For those of us who opt not to get the flu vaccine, there are good anti-flu medications available now--tamiflu etc. Evan and I both took Tamiflu last year when the flu hit our house and we were sick less than 48 hours we were totally well vs. the week plus for my younger son (who has questionable mito issues). Guest guest
I have celiac disease which is an auto-immune disease but am really in good shape, never get sick usually, until today my sinus and am doing much better, never have had a fever. I am 592009/2/19 n Van Til I get flu shots every year. I'm found they do help to avoid flu and especially bad flu. A few times over the years I've reacted to the vaccine for a while (get a swollen, very sore arm and run a fever). It is recommended for people with auto-immune diseases and asthma, which I also have. Though I don't always necessarily listen to recommendations from the conventional medical establishment…. n From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of J.H. They too often don't work (they choose a strain, and sometimes the powers that be choose incorrectly). Plus, they can still contain thimerosol. I posted this article as part of a blog post about vitamin D and cod liver oil. It seems vitamin D offers protection against the flu. It certainly explains the seasonal aspect. http://tinyurl.com/bqoyl9 B. ASD son, RA self, SCD Nov. 2007 http://scdgirl.blogspot.com
