Hello everyone,

After a long, agonizing, depressing winter, I have decided to get back on

minocin! I have resisted getting back on them due to the fact that they cause

imbalanced gut flora that can lead to candida. Minocin worked for me back in 03

and I went into a 5 year remission. I am hoping I can achieve remission again.

I finally found a doctor who was willing to prescribe the minocin, yeah! And

he seems very willing to help me get back on my feet.

Amy, your posts have been so encouraging. I am so glad you have the use of

your hands again and are feeling better.

I am glad I have this group to lean on for support. Thanks for being there

everyone.

Sincerely,

Suzanne

Hi Eva,

Yes, I am taking probiotics. Thanks for asking. Does anyone have any good

recommendations for a probiotic. Right now, I am using HMF Powder by Unda and

L.acidophilus by Nature's Sunshine.

I need to find some other probiotics that work so I can rotate them.

Thanks everyone!

I like NOW brand’s Probiotic-10, 50 billion strength. It has 10 probiotic

strains and is dairy, wheat and gluten free. I wish I could find a larger

size, so far only a 50 vegicap-size. They also make the product in 25

billion strength. El

Suzanne,

What do you rotate? I'm taking a multi probiotic. Because of RA, I have been

off dairy, but my body is wanting kefir. We have a woman locally who makes/sell

kefir with raw goat or cows milk, so want to start taking this. She also has

water kefir, but I don't know much about it. Thanks, Sally

Hi everybody,

Someone had mentioned using Borax to shampoo hair because of itchy scalp. I

tried it and it feels like shampooing my hair with water - there's no

lather. Has anyone else tried this ? Is there supposed to be lather ? I

mixed it per directions on Hulda .

Thank you.

I use Boric Acid in all the cracks and crevices around the inner perimeter

of  my house to keep crawling pests away.  It works great for that.  I never

heard of using Borax on the scalp.?  Is it toxic? Is Borax and Boric Acid one

and the same or different? Dolores

Hi mike,

No they are not the same thing.

Borax has been used for years for laundry, I know.

Hi ,

That would have been me. I have used borax to shampoo my hair, followed by a

citric acid rinse. There will be no lather. Just squeaky clean hair and itch

free scalp.

Hi Sally,

I just wonder if a probiotic can become ineffective after one takes it for a

long period of time and if switching it up would help. Just a thought.

I used to drink kefir. But I don't think my stomach could handle milk kefir

right now. I have never tried water kefir. You'll have to let us know how that

is.

Hi Suzanne,

I bought them at MotherNature.com. They had the best prices at the time;

i.e., 50 capsules, 50 billion, $28.86. The 25 billion strength cost $17.31.
