Guest guest
I tried the first dose of Isocort, felt relaxed and slow, but better than that hyper feeling even on a low does of thyroxine I have been experiencing. The next day, I took the one morning dose of Isocort and felt anxious all day. So, I stopped. After a week, I tried the Isocort again. Felt good, same as the first time I tried it. But about 8 hours later, I became suddenly dizzy, and had heavy confusion and super anxiety, not the same sort of anxiety, but more in my head-feeling, like there was some biochemical chaos going on. Usually, if it is typcial anxiety, an ativan will relieve it. In the past, when I was hyper from thyroid meds, but just thought I was anxious due to undermedicaiton, I would take an ativan, and found that the anxiety did not dissipate. In this situation, the anxiety did not dissipate, so there is definately something going on here with the Isocort I took. What is happening? Is it the fact that the cortisol was happily accepted by my body, then rejected after a while because it is too much for me? Or is it that the cortisol has been expended and I am in some sort of physical panic mode becasue my body really expects the cortisol to be present and available, but it is not there??? Please help. I need to treat the weak adrenals in order to tolerate my thyroi meds. I am in the midst of a quick downward spiral as I can't take my old thyroid dose and am more hypo than ever. I presume I have taxed my adrenals trying to optimize my thyroid meds, and now am in serious trouble.
