Guest guest
Welcome to the group! Ask for a copy of the faq. titled " The most frequently asked questions about A/P " . Someone on this site posts them from time to time. Print it and digest it thoroughly. As for finding the right doctor, ask for a list of A/P docs in your area. A few people on this site have those lists. You may also try the Roadback.org site. They also have lots of information. Become a regular member. If you live anywhere near Boston, go to Dr. Trentham on the Harvard campus. He is the Chief of the Rheumatologist department at the Medical School. He is and has been involved with research there and published the MIRA studies. He will put you on Brand name Minocin immediately. There is also a Dr. Franco in California who does a lot of publishing re: A/P. Others may be able to steer you to a place near you. The important thing is to get tested and start the antibiotics asap. I gave up on rheumatologists and now see an Infectious Disease doctor. Getting a doctor to be compliant with the Antibiotic Protocol is the most difficult and you may have to see a few docs before getting the right one for you. This therapy is not readily accepted by the Rheumatology people yet because they claim that there aren't enough studies to accept it. Also, they are married to Big Pharm who keep making toxic drugs to put down the immune system. You need your immune system intact in order to fight off the offending microrganisms. The few studies done were of short duration and this therapy is for long term low dose antibiotics. I have been on them for 4+ years and am alive because of them. Back in December of 2005, I was given about 5 months to live. I am in remission! My blood work has converted to normal. Good luck to you. Accept no less! Insist on doing the protocol. It is your life. Good luck and stay with the groups. Guest guest
I have a case of Neaurapathy as it was diagnosed by a M.D. My feet are burning all the time it think it was brought on by alcohol, that was one of the symtoms conveyed on the WebMD website, who knows .Any way what I am going through is not as bad or sad as what some members of this group is experiencing. It is not life threatening,Praise YAH.However I can tell anyone that if your M.d .Does not care sincerely about your well being or welfare as a HUMAN BEING and not a number/$ then one should definate seek a second opinion from a another DR.Anyway if anyone needs help with FREE Anti-Virus or on using computers.I offer free WILL services superc_1969@... Guest guest
I saw Dr. A. Franco in Riverside California. He is very knowledgable about AP therapy for rheumatic diseases. Also recommends supplements to counter some of the side-effects I've read about. I was recently dx w/ DM and live in Colorado. I felt it was worth it to travel to see someone w/ experience. Something to consider if you're able. Also - read the book, The New Arthritis Breakthrough by Henry Scammell. It's easy to read and very informative - a must read!
