I am not taking anything. I cannot even take Vitamin E. Although I will add,

if you get bruising from aspirin, there is something else going on in your

body that you need to address because that means your blood vessels are so

weak that a thinner allows the blood to leak through the vessels. The

vessels need to be stronger so that no matter how thin the blood is, it

doesn't leak out of the vessel.

If you are taking any kind of blood thinner that can cause the

bruising. My DH & I were both taking an aspirin a day a couple of

years ago. My legs were completly covered in bruises. It took me a

while to figure out that it was the aspirin causing the bruising. My

DH too was covered in bruises. We stopped the aspirin & the bruising

stopped.

Take a look at BioSil http://www.vitacost.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Biosil-30-ml

Each drop contains 1mg silicon. I use about 20 drops each day in water. Dr

Sherry says " it teflon coats your arteries " plus it greatly improves

your hair, nails and bones. My nails used to split badly. Now my nails are

so-o strong.

Apparently a lot of things, which is why it is so hard to find a solution.

People with autoimmune diseases in general are more prone as are people with

heavy metal toxicity. Mold toxicity and radiation exposure can cause

weakened blood vessels too. Then there are vitamin and mineral deficiencies

that can weakened the vessels. I am still trying to figure all this out with

mine.

I have such huge collagen and skin issues and I think my weak vessels are

related. I never had issues with my vessels until I got very ill with

adrenal issues in 1999. Then I got tons of cherry angiomas. The bruising

didn't get bad until late 2002 but seemed to be better for about a year and

I am trying to remember what I did which might have made it better. However,

all of 2007 my bruising and angioma issues kept getting worse (worst ever)

as did my skin and collagen issues as far as weakness and tearing and I am

trying to find what I am lacking that would cause this weakness.

When I took vitamin E, I would literally bleed out of pores and certain

moles and such. I also had bad and constant bloody noses. So, about the only

thinner I use is garlic when I cook and that one doesn't seem to cause any

more issues than I already have. What I really need to do though, is find a

solution to help strengthen my blood vessels.

That is interesting Cheri. What could cause week blood vessels?

My cholesterol used to be pretty low (90-115) but I have gotten it up to

average over the past 10 years. My HDL was 95 and my LDL was 55 last time I

checked, so 150 was my total. That is still too low, and I want to get it up

to about 180. It was at that level for several years but I haven't checked

it lately. I have added more saturated fats since then so I might be due to

get it checked again. I still want to keep my ratio of good to bad

cholesterol. Doctors always raved how great my cholesterol was but I knew

that low isn't good either and cholesterol is actually a preventative thing

in the vessels...without it, the vessel can break and a person can bleed to

death...so with my leaky vessels I have had a huge concern about this since

the late 90s even though my docs think I am doing great. Had they known that

too low of cholesterol is an indication of other problems, maybe they would

have taken mine more seriously. I remember my first adrenal crash at age 19

and my level then was 115.

Coconut and olive oil are the only ones I use. Rarely I will use butter but

really coconut is my mail oil.

Is that why you were asking, thinking my cholesterol is too low and not

enough saturated fats? I have considered that, especially after doing some

research over the years but I don't think I am so low now that it should be

getting worse. I think with with me I have so many issues with protein,

collagen and amino acid synthesis and it is probably because I am so mercury

toxic that my body doesn't covert what I need properly.

For anyone interested in this subject, too low cholesterol is linked to

depression, higher stroke incidences and death from a variety of diseases.

So, those of you with high cholesterol can at least be thankful for that. ;)

Cheri,

Is your cholesterol low? Do you eat veg oils/margarines/transfats in

preference to saturated fats?
