Guest guest
Well, I went out to a restaurant yesterday for the first time since surgery. The boss at work took my department out to lunch yesterday. We went to a place called Hickory Falls something or other. LOL! The food was amazing! I chose pork. My sides were steamed veggies & sweet potatoes. The old me would not have had the steamed veggies. LOL! And I would have had bread & dessert. I probably could have gotten 4 or 5 meals out of all the food on my plate! I brought the left overs home to hubby & he had them for dinner last night. I had about 2 oz of pork & maybe .5 oz of the bosses chicken. The chicken was to die for. It was grilled w/ swiss or something melted on it. It melted in your mouth it was so tender & juicy. I ate 1 little piece of carrot and 1 bite of the sweet potatoes. They were WAY TOO sweet & I was afraid they'd make me dump. But they were so yummy. Everyone else had desserts. The split a piece of oreo pie & a piece of carrot cake. The pieces were HUGE! I couldn't believe! I had a bit of a crumb of carrot cake w/out icing. It was good. I think I did well. It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I was worried the temptation would be too much; but the fear of getting sick outweighed it! LOL! And it seems my plateau has ended! I got on the scale this am & it went down! YAY! I'm at 45 lbs gone! Hopefully this time next week I'll hit 50 lbs. I treated myself to a new jacket from the Harley dealer today. Although it's a 3x it's kinda tight so it will fit for a while. I got it for work because it's always so cold in there! It's a nice hooded sweatshirt type jacket. I also bought myself a freezer today!!! I've needed that for a long time! It'll be nice to buy when on sale & be able to stock up!!!
