Guest guest
Just curious -- were you on the way to acromegaly? None of my business, but someone I loved had had it, and a specialist in Dallas, curiously enough, at Parkland, tested him for a week and decided it had arrested itself. He did have a large lower jaw, though, come to think of it. Guest guest
To Cammie Yes I had acromegaly. It affected more than my lower jaw bone. I had all symptoms of acromegaly except for the enlargement of the organs and blindness. The doctors were extremely surprised that I wasn't blind because the tumor pressed against my optical nerve. Also acromegaly can give symptoms of heart trouble. I was in the hospital for 3 days for observation because the enzymes in my blood read 6x normal of a regular EKG reading. My heart is perfectly healthy. I hope and pray that that someone you loved is still alive and looking to have thereselves checked out thoroughly. If that person is still seeking help have them get with a Dr. McPhaul at UTSW, a wonderful endocrinologist. Check him out at the link below. http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/home_pages/endocrine/mcphaul.shtml Sonyja > > Hi lindenginsberg: > > > > I have had the wonderful experience and pleasure of having Dr. > > > Ellis with UT Southwestern (The hospital is Zale Lipshy).
