Guest guest
The MAIN reaosn they warn against long term use of licorice root is the same reasons they warn against long term use of steroids. As it is an OTC med peole can take it that have no adrenal fatigue and in those cases it possibly could supress their adrenal function. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
I've never heard of that for the reason they tell us not to take it for more than seven days in a row. I always thought it was just because it can raise blood pressure or cause potassium loss. This doesn't surprise me though, but licorice root is supposed to help " rebuild " adrenals and I guess it makes what cortisol you do produce go a bit longer. Guest guest
It works very similarly to aldopsterone in that is makes the body retain more sodium, whihc may cause slight imbalances but no more so than taking sea salt would! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Started using it. I am at 1/4 of baschetti dosage and started to have some wish to eat potatoes and bananas. Before using it I had no appetite for them. Seems that my sodium is increasing. So,I am doing fine at this moment. Will see what happen as I increase the dosage. My digestion is improving. I am happy with it. Nil Re: Licorice Root >>The MAIN reaosn they warn against long term use of licorice root is the same reasons they warn against long term use of steroids.
