Guest guest
Lori, Not to sound preachy or anything, but since you ask, yes, you are worrying yourself about nothing. 128/80 is not high blood pressure, and besides, it's not isolated readings that matter, it's the average *resting* BP. Guest guest
Dear Lori, 128/80 is good- not high BP. Especially the diastolic (lower number) being 80. That's great, and under control. Being a mother myself I can understand how you would worry- it's completely normal. One thing that you can do is to keep a BP log, and show it to the doctor at the next visit. Let them do the worrying- either way right now, there is no need. It sounds great. -beth
Guest guest
Hi Lori, My Neph always tells me my goal BP is 130/80. My Neph does not worry until I get up around 150/100, then he starts adjusting my BP meds to try to get it back down to 130/80. I would not worry at 128/80. Just the stress she is feeling adjusting to this is likely to affect her BP. As Amy often says, it is a life adjustment, and as all this becomes more second nature, and it will become second nature and just a normal part of life, then it is much less stressful for and for you as well. Guest guest
Hi, Until recently, I was wishing I had those kind of bp numbers. My bp (on prednisone) was regularly 140/90. Only this past week ie. taking 5 mg prednisone daily, has my bp gone down to 120/75. I think 128/80 is on the higher end of the normal range, but otherwise it's ok.
