Guest guest
Vinegar is fermented which can cause candida problems. When on any candida diet one should look for hidden, sugars and fermented products These can be anything from soy sauce to ketchup, mustard and so forth. -------Original Message------- From: meralearning > Taking coconut oil and use apple cider vinegar is suppose to get rid of > candida also. ** my husband's doc took him OFF the vinegar during the candida. she gave him some other alternative since the cleanse diet included " no vinegar " . Any thoughts on this? Esmeralda
Guest guest
That is true with the exception of apple cider vinegar which has the opposite effect and kills candida. It can also be used as a scalp rinse to kill the fungus. So, if you buy organic products with apple cider vinegar you are okay. I know I can't use regular vinegar but have had really good luck with organic apple cider vinegar in killing candida. Guest guest
Regular vinegar is not good because it can feed candida, but organic apple cider vinegar actually kills it. I know this from personal experience from suffering from candida overgrowth since the age of 10. I get it worst on my scalp and an ACV rinse has worked wonders. Though, overall the best thing I have found even more than diet is a good probiotic in high doses. Guest guest
I read on another list that apple cider vinegar contains too much sugar for some people (while they are trying to get candida levels down). sol meralearning wrote: > ** my husband's doc took him OFF the vinegar during the candida. she > gave him some other alternative since the cleanse diet included " no > vinegar " . Guest guest
Yeah, I have been on many Candida forums that said to avoid all vinegar and it just didn't make logical sense to me since I had so much luck with my scalp so I researched in and found out that ACV was actually good. It has to do with the source of the vinegar as well as how they process it. I don't know how much ACV your hubby takes per day, but I would make sure he gets a lot of probiotics. That will help keep the intestinal balance of good bacteria versus bad and the good bacteria also eat up the toxins produced by the fungi (of which Candida is one). Cheri Re: what I did for Candida off topic Thanks Cheri, this is good because we're really into org. ACV for digestion and is a big sacrifice. Hubby wants me to do more research because it's hard to go against 'doc's orders' when he's lost so much weight... But, it makes sense to me as it has so many healthful benefits it would not make sense that it was feeding the candida.
