Guest guest
Adrenal cortex extract by Biomax Sub-adrene by american biologics. bw Nil Isocort Are there other brands similar to Isocort? I was hoping to go to the health food store today and look for it. But if I don't find it can I get something similar? As long as I get adrenal cortex is that good enough. Or does it have to be Isocort??
Guest guest
I would stick with Isocort. It had a known amount fo cortiosk in it, and other brands are not standardized so one pill migh thave 3MH another none. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Hi Val You are an expert on the subject but I had ben using all three for the last 7 years so i wished to share some of my experience with you. I find ace drops more potent than isocort.Neither isocort nor others say anything about their cortisol dosage on label. So,If Iam trusting bezwecken, why should I not trust American Biologics or Biomax Formulations. These two are not in tablet form. They are liquid and used by dropper so there would be no problem of uniformity.I also have made extensive research on these before starting them and did not come across any complaint regarding product quality.Only thing that worries me is that these liquid forms contain some alcohol and I am concerned on long term effect on candida problem. That is all. I find them more quickly absorbable than isocort as they are in liquid form and sub-lingual. So,I use them in rotation with Isocort. Just wished to inform you on my experience. best wishes. Guest guest
Directly adrenal cortex extract and some little amount of preservatives. biomax ace info. http://www.bayho.com/p/839001.html sub adrene info http://www.gaines.com/store/AmerBiol/AMB52201info.html Both had some formulation changes lately so dosages at above links may not show the latest dosage status. For biomax ace 3 times 4 drops is eq, of 20 mg HC sub adrene 3 times 5 drops is eq. of 20 mg hc. bw Nil Re: Isocort What's in them? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
One more note.. When I use liquid forms I notice within a very short time acth push stops if I am at correct dosage.(I mean not too little) Something like 20 minutes or little more. Also if I have adrenal pain due to overexhaustion it also subsides within that time.I do not get this effect with isocort. And i don't think i can get this effect with HC tablets either as they need to go through digestive system. That is why I am saying they are more absorbable. bw Nil Re: Isocort What's in them? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I believe they are more absorbable. Usually liquid or sublingual are the best forms. I have been doing HC cream now since I ran out of Isocort and it seems to be better too, though there seems to be a big difference between brands depending on what other fillers are in there. Guest guest
Contains 28 identified Adrenal Cortical Hormones. And do you knwo which ones these are? Adrenaline is one we do NOT need. This is why I prefer Isocort. I would have to hear SEVERAL good reports from this product before I could recommend something liek this I do nto usually recommend Isocort that often as it usually is not strong enough how would oyu knwo how much cortisol you are gettign with this product? That si a VERY important question to answer. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
